We were lucky to catch up with Larry Hernandez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Larry, appreciate you joining us today. Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.
Been Prarciting Physical Therapy since 2006, most recently was at a place for 12 years and during 2013 found CrossFit and relaxed I had some mobility issues and thought I’m supposed to be a healthcare professional and good at these things, this started a journey of CrossFit and also applying myself more as a therapist in 2017 I signed up for entrepreneurship to learn more about sales and also more in-depth education about getting people out of pain. Don’t get me wrong I learned a lot in school but this was more in-depth and had ongoing accountability. This began a desire to open my own thing so in 2017 I established my LLC and in October 202o. in the midst of covid while people were losing jobs I decided to quit my high-paying managerial job to go out on my own and hired another mentor to help me understand insurance, compliance, and business. Since then have just grown every month and now enjoy the idea of owning my own business and helping people the way I want to. I now have about 10-15 therapists seeing people all over the DFW in my mobile practice and also seeing people in my clinic in East Richardson.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Learnig insurance
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Not to undersell my services, i put a lot time and energy in to what I do.
