Trucking companies, fuel cards, owner-operator companies, and other transportation resources. Since I’m in that industry, I try to collaborate with every company I can that resonates with what I believe in. A lot of people find me on TikTok and others find me on Instagram. It may be difficult to begin with but that’s why people consult with me to get them going on the right track to move forward. I started with a couple hundred views in 2021 and now I have had well over 100 million views from my videos. I knew my content would be successful, but I didn’t know it would grow through the stratosphere as it did. I just hit over 45 million views within the last 30-day period which was my own personal record. My goal was to get 1000 views on every video that I put out. I’ve exceeded that and I’m grateful.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a social media marketing guru and content creator. My marketing journey started when I was 16 and I gave my life to Christ and started telling everyone about what God did in my life. I like to call that grass root marketing. Face to face. Word of mouth. I would share my testimony with people and people would be intrigued by the change in my life. I then transferred to college where I had a bible study that started in my dorm room and quickly grew to about 70 people a week. I would make flyers and remix the hottest hip-hop songs to Christian lyrics and people loved the concept and it started to grow. I started driving trucks in 2007 and I’ve been driving on and off since then. I’ve had a barbecue business that I took from being ranked 143 to being ranked number 1 in less than 90 days on yelp, trip advisor, google and etc. I’ve always had a creative gene that allowed me to exceed in certain areas. That was the reason i started my marketing agency “Social Media Solutions Pro”. In 2021 I was talking to some clients and I had to make a decision on what I would start talking about on social media. I made the decision to do what I was already doing every day, most of the day and that was trucking. I made one video and it got 200 combined views on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. I made another and got the same result. Then I decided that I would disrupt the algorithm and I made another video it got over 13,000 views overnight and the next day 2 companies reached out to me for podcasts and another one wanted me to make videos and it was up from there. Since then I have been invited to host over 20 events, made multiple brand deals, and 10x my income. I make a video every day. At this current moment, I have enough videos for 10 years if uploaded 3 videos a day. Not only do I make videos for myself, but I also make videos for other people, businesses, brands and etc. I love the creative side, but I also manage profiles for busy entrepreneurs and people who don’t want to manage their own social media profiles. This gives them more time to focus and their business while me and my team handle the online brand.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I started being consistent on social media in 2021 my goal was to talk about trucking and give advice to company drivers who wanted to become owner-operators. I did that for a few weeks and then I noticed that I was getting more views and comments on the videos where I was funny and gave information. The people were speaking and telling me through their views and through the likes and comments what they liked and then I delivered. I thought I was just going to be informative, but I ended up being funny and informative. If you’re in business, you need to listen to your audience, listen to your customers, and go with what they’re saying because they’re the ones who going to be purchasing from you. Consistency on social media is key. Even if you’re doing a post once or twice a week, make sure that you deliver on the same day around the same time. Once you learn your audience and what they’re expecting, you can post more. It may be difficult to begin with but that’s why people consult with me to get going on the right track to move forward.
