We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Larrisha Coney a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Larrisha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

The mission of With Lov3, LC is to contribute to the wellbeing of the collective. Our offerings center on supporting Black & POC, LGBTQ+, and historically marginalized communities. This mission holds a special place in my heart; throughout my healing, educational, and career journey, I navigated many challenging moments that required me to seek resources within myself and my community. With Lov3, LC was created to provide a variety of wellness offerings designed to empower and resource individuals and community spaces. I am inspired to create tangible resources and offerings that support evolution, connection, healing, and love. The mission of With Lov3, LC serves as both my anchor and my creative inspiration.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to share your biography and give our readers some of your background and context?

Larrisha Coney, M.S., P.P.S.C., is the founder of the wellness brand WITH LOV3, LC, established in 2021. The mission of With Lov3, LC is to contribute to the wellbeing of the collective. In Larrisha’s work as a counselor, she supports Black & POC, LGBTQ+, first-generation, marginalized youth, and families in navigating the academic setting while prioritizing their wellbeing. Over her 7+ year counseling career, Larrisha has supported over 1000 adults and youth across multiple capacities and age ranges. She has also led wellness
workshops at national conferences, in classrooms, and within community spaces. Larrisha holds a special place in her heart for listening deeply and empowering herself and the community to (re)connect to holistic wellness practices and community care.

WITH LOV3, LC’s offerings include guided journals, intentional accessories, Bluetooth speaker aroma diffusers, and crystal-infused hand-poured essential oil blends. Larrisha also provides services as a wellness speaker and workshop facilitator. WITH LOV3, LC is anchored in intentionality and Larrisha’s unique blend of experiences, skills, and perspectives allows her to create offerings to support folks wherever they are in their wellness journey.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

An early lesson I had to unlearn was the expectation of instant gratification in my business. When I launched With Lov3, LC, I was consumed by stories of businesses going viral and selling out overnight. However, I soon realized that this was not the reality for most small business owners. Building a reputation, supportive community, and profits can take time. I had to remind myself to stay rooted in my purpose and allow success to unfold naturally. Connecting with other small business owners and business resources helped me gain a realistic understanding of what it means to build a sustainable business, knowing that it can vary for each person.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The most successful approach to expanding clientele for With Lov3, LC has been active community engagement. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed participating as a vendor at various local farmers markets and community events. This direct interaction has allowed me to create personal connections and educate others about my offerings. By being visible and fostering connections in person or through referrals, I have experienced consistent growth and developed lasting relationships. Additionally, engaging with customers in vendor spaces has provided valuable insights into how people interact with my products and services, helping me identify common questions and preferences in real-time.
