Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LaRon Santiago . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
LaRon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I’m currently working on a new project as we speak, I don’t want to disclose the title just yet, this new album is very special to me because it has a whole concept to it, like it’s a series or movie, with this particular project I want to break barriers & stereotypes when it comes to interracial dating in the urban community, I want my music to relate to someone who is going through what I’m writing about in this new album & hope to open up people eyes not to stay close minded
LaRon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been creating music professionally since 2004, before social media I had to walk into record labels to get my music heard or pass CDs around to people, even though record labels rejected me as an artist, because I wasn’t represented by someone like an A&R or entertainment attorney, that didn’t stop me to create music, it pushed me to go harder, when social media became the new thing it helped a lot of independent artist to distribute their music to reach people outside their hometown & other parts of the world, with my music I like to provide original sound and create songs people can relate to, songs to help them get through relationship issues or anthems to help boost their confidence, what sets me apart from other artist is that I’m determined & will never give up, I’m always willing to learn new things in my craft and never afraid to become a student to reinvent myself, I have to two New Ep’s out on all platforms, “Collard Greens” & “Red Light Special” which I’m very proud of because I’m providing my songwriting skills because every song is written by me, I would love to write & produce for other artist to show off my musical talent
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I attended this school in Hollywood, CA named “Los Angeles Film School” also provided audio engineering for upcoming producers & music engineers, during that time I was attending that school it helped me build my social media, because I network with different people & also used their services & they introduced me to people they knew, to help yourself get seen, work with other people, use their services, someone always knows someone, that knows someone, it’s like a connecting tree, the key is to keep a positive attitude and stay professional, people will always be willing to help
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part about being a musical artist is when you create a project & you put so much hard work into it, you get a great response from your supporters & they enjoy your project, it really pushes you to keep creating new sounds & projects to keep them on their feet
