We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Larissa & Jeremy Floyd. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Larissa & Jeremy below.
Larissa & Jeremy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
Problems arise from time to time on projects. When this happens, we try to go out of our way to show our customers that we care! Recently, while working on a patio job, we ran into some supply issues and it prolonged the job past the projected finish date. We put together a gift basket for the client once the job was completed filled with grilling tools and a gift card to H‑E‑B to show our care and appreciation for their business and patience during the job.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
We started Arukah Properties + Homes about 3 years ago. It has always been a dream of ours to renovate and flip homes. Our owner, Jeremy, also has his real estate license. Our goal is to be an all inclusive business for your home needs: buying, renting, selling, renovating, flipping, etc. Our mission is to impact the value of communities through renovating homes.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
We have had lots of set backs. Going over budget on flips because of unforeseen issues has been the biggest one. But we have persevered through them and readjusted in other areas to accommodate that.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Just being true to our word. Contractors can tend to have a bad reputation for over promising and under delivering. We will lose money on a job to make sure a client is happy with the finished product. Our word is the most important thing to us.
