We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Larissa. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Larissa below.
Hi Larissa, thanks for joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Larissa Nazareno is the CEO/Founder of a successful marketing/noble event coordinating/public relations/image and branding consultant/ web development business called “Luxe and Company,” established in 2014. Larissa was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. (DUVAL) and ignited her skills and talent for her love for her city. She started working part time as VP of Business Marketing and wrote music articles for celebrity artists & dj’s for a magazine called “Duval Urban Metro.” My 1st official published music article was on legendary asian sensation Rob Campman formerly known as “Southstar” – 1 half of Orlando’s hip hop duo “Smilez & Southstar.” After a few months the decision was made to execute my 1st business, from investing in herself as she was always building her brand from late-night studying to developing her own marketing materials.
Currently, as of 2025 “Luxe & Company” is one of Florida’s recognizable brands that delivers, executes, and makes a difference—introducing an evolution of its brand identity, which is both simple and modern for an increasingly digital world. We can ignite your business growth & income as we specialize in website content, sales letters, product description & development, newsletters, email marketing, special events coordinator, sponsorship letters, artist development, branding, community outreach & more.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

In 2016, The King Foundation a nonprofit 501(c)(3) was born. Our mission is focused on children that have lost a parent due to unforeseen circumstances throughout the State of Florida. We provide resources to the children and guardians such as family art therapy, vision board, family game night, back to school community day, holiday skate party and much more. Our expected outcome is to serve kids in need of guidance & grace while focusing on career resources, skills training, goal setting, mentorship, therapy, volunteerism, field trips, scholarships and more. We have recently collaborated with The Steve & Marjorie Foundation as we sent a few young men from our foundation to a mentorship/leadership camp to become the best versions of themselves. My love for the youth continued to grow as of July 2016 with the Coach Kevin Waters Basketball Academy, a basketball skills camp developed for under privileged kids that want to sharpen their basketball skills and stay off the streets. Also, in 2016 I invested into my 15 y/o Son’s culinary skills and the co-founder of a local certified catering business called Ducksauce of Jax. From hosting the largest cocktail party in the City of Jacksonville for Florida Vs. Georgia game, hosting cultural events such as Filipino Pride Day (Larissa tapped into her Filipino roots from marketing to hosting noble events celebrating Filipino-American heritage month) to coordinating anti-bullying pep rallies at local middle and high schools the love I have for the youth and my community has elevated.
March 2023, I officially signed my contract for the newest professional basketball franchise (G-League) in the City of Jacksonville called The Jacksonville 95ers as the Director of Public Relations. We entered Our 1st inaugural 2024 year under The Basketball League to strive all the way to the 1st round in the playoffs. In 2025, Larissa was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations managing and overseeing the administrative and logistical aspects of the basketball operations. My journey continues as I have challenged myself to study & very determined to retain my GPC (Grant Professional Certified) and as of June 2024 days before my 40th birthday I successfully & officially gained my professional grant writer certification and ready to assist other foundations, organizations, corporations with their grant needs.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Most effective business strategy consists of 3 levels of purpose – Company, Brand and Customer purpose – and then optimize your products, people, processes, policies, technology, operations, and metrics to deliver experiences aligned with those purposes. Invest in various marketing strategies to build brand awareness and reach your target audience, cultivate genuine connections and leveraging referrals is crucial in acquiring more clients. Most importantly actively network within your industry, attending events, and engaging in meaningful conversations that will significantly expand your client base and enhance your business reputation.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Staying organized, consistent and on time is 1 key for success…. being able to tap into my community and other ethnical groups has provided me a wide demographic and resources to be able to collaborate and coordinate successful events. Having knowledge with technology and the world wide web, mastering my craft took years to learn and perfect but with practice, patience & determination my areas of knowledge excelled more than I expected and was able to develop the skills of web developer & digital designing. Most IMPORTANTLY communication is really the KEY to a successful business relationship. By exposing yourself too different businesses you gain knowledge, great communication, more resources and avenues to elevate your business, open more opportunities and help others grow. When collaborating with other entrepreneurs you develop unknown skills that later on can add to your credentials. Staying organized, consistent and on time is 1 key for success.
