We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful LaRihanna Brown. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with LaRihanna below.
LaRihanna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Thank you Canvas Rebel Magazine for giving me the opportunity to tell my story. There is something inherently special about the beauty business that is attracting more independent entrepreneurs to the $98 billion retail industry than ever before. It’s a colorful and pretty space where people come to play with and create colors, formulas and fragrances, as well as perfect services, all with a mission to help consumers look, feel and smell their best.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Corporate websites can also benefit. Thanks to their solid online reputation, My role as a brand ambassador can easily drive traffic to websites. This also applies to the application of the my brand. With the help of the network , recruiters reach the passive job market in an authentic way. I can find out how to receive applications via referrals.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Ten years ago I still feared loss enough to abandon myself in order to keep things stable. I’d smile when I was sad, pretend to like people who appalled me. What I now know is that losses aren’t cataclysmic if they teach the heart and soul their natural cycle of breaking and healing. A real tragedy? That’s the loss of the heart and soul themselves. If you’ve abandoned yourself in the effort to keep anyone or anything else, unlearn that pattern. Live your truth, losses be damned. Just like that, your heart and soul will return home. It is difficult to say where the river begins and where its boundary ends. Similarly, our resilience is codependent on the resilience of other people in our lives. It is also dependent on the resilience of the environment we live in. Who can you turn to, for support in tough times? What are the places that you can go to recharge yourself? And more importantly, who can you support when they are going through a tough time?
Life itself has taught me to be resilient and focused by finding spaces that rejuvenate me , and sharing it with others in their time of need, we are building our own resilience and also creating a resilient support network. Leaving from West Africa, Liberia 🇱🇷 coming to The United States 🇺🇸 as an immigrant and now becoming a US citizen has taught me a lot more. It has given me the willpower to do a lot more for myself and the world at large. To include my brand and my network.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The first step to unlearning negative mindsets is recognizing I have them, and how much power they’ve had (and still have) over me. I’ve Identify what is holding me back — in relationships, career, finances, ability, and belief. Then I can move forward. “This is the first lesson I unlearned as an adult and a professional who wanted to be forward-moving and progressive. Holding your tongue as an adult can be detrimental to your mental health, your character, and the trajectory of your career. I learned as an adult to make unfavorable comments with a kind delivery. You don’t have to hold your perspective back! Just be sure your delivery has impact followed by action.’
