We recently connected with Lara Darwish and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Lara, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
At a not very young age, I hit rock bottom. I had lost everything that had given meaning to my life up until then and I was devastated. Owing to my resilience and my unwavering belief in life, love, and above all myself, I picked up my pieces and moved forward, continuing to form myself as a professional and developing my best self! Today, I am a PhD student, an internationally certified life coach and strategist living my best life enjoying financial freedom and autonomy. I am humbled to share my journey with others helping them to feel empowered while building a life they are happy with and feel proud of.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I am passionate about education and I believe that it is the most honorable and integral means towards living a good and happy life. I truly believe that as humans our mission is to develop ourselves and keep transcending ourselves higher and higher until we connect with our truest most authentic self – with our soul. Being faithful to my life motto I kept developing myself professionally and personally, as I believe learning is a life length process.
As this process proved very purposeful to me, I became happier and more productive, and found meaning in sharing my struggles and overcoming them with others and helping them do the same. I help my clients discover all the limiting beliefs and aspects of themselves that hold them back and hinder their growth. Together we create a plan – always personalized to their needs, as we are not all the same and no one solution fits all! So we create a personalized plan that enables them to make progress towards their goals and fulfill their objectives. I accompany them through the process as they, little by little, grow comfortable with the change they want/need.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most enlightening realizations is that I am not too sensitive, too messy, too emotional or too much of anything. I am perfect as I am, while I accept my imperfections and work on the things that need improving, I do it because I believe I must improve not to please others.
The greatest lesson in my life and the most empowering was SELF-LOVE, to learn to love and honor myself has empowered me in many ways, one way was by allowing myself to exert boundaries in certain unhealthy relationships. It has given me the permission to pursue the things that make me happy and help me live a purposeful life, a life under my terms and not others´. To know who we are and what we are is how we occupy the space that corresponds to us in this world, instead of shrinking ourselves to fit in the space others think we should fill. I want my daughter and every little girl to know that she is beautiful and her dreams and aspirations are not too big or too ambitious.

How did you build your audience on social media?
By being genuine, social media is sometimes a platform where people project the best of their lives and does not necessarily project reality. This makes some people think that their life is imperfect or that they are missing out, especially young people who come to believe they should look a certain way or have certain things in order to fit in. I try to be as genuine as I can, especially through my stories, hoping that others can relate and feel less lonely. I love sharing knowledge and relatable matters while spreading optimistic vibes within a normal day to day context.
