We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful LaQuisha Parker. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with LaQuisha below.
Alright, LaQuisha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The mission behind The Lemonade Lady is to pour love, tradition, and community into every cup. My business was born from my Granny’s recipe, which I began making at just five years old. Each sip of her lemonade carried a sense of comfort, joy, and togetherness — and my mission is to share that same feeling with my community. By serving fresh, handcrafted lemonade, I want people to experience not just a refreshing drink, but a piece of family history, a moment of connection, and a reminder that small joys can leave the biggest impact.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m LaQuisha Parker, the owner of The Lemonade Lady, a mobile lemonade and charcuterie business rooted in family tradition and community joy. My journey began when I was just five years old, standing on a step stool in my grandmother’s kitchen, learning how to squeeze lemons and mix her signature recipe. What started as a simple family tradition has grown into a small business that allows me to share that same love, warmth, and connection with my community.
Through The Lemonade Lady, I provide freshly squeezed lemonade, cocktails and mocktails, and handcrafted charcuterie cups and boards that add a unique, refreshing, and joyful touch to local events. Whether it’s a neighborhood block party, a school function, a wedding, or a community festival, my business offers more than just food and drinks — it offers an experience.
The “problem” I solve for my clients is simple but powerful: I take the stress out of event refreshments by bringing a reliable, crowd-pleasing, and creative option that feels both nostalgic and special. In a world of store-bought, mass-produced drinks, The Lemonade Lady stands apart because every sip is homemade, heartfelt, and rooted in tradition.
What sets my business apart is the heart behind it. My mission isn’t just to serve lemonade — it’s to serve love and community in a cup. Every event I attend becomes an opportunity to connect people, bring joy, and create memorable moments.
I am most proud of carrying my grandmother’s legacy forward and watching people’s faces light up when they taste something made with such care. I’ve also been proud to expand my services to include mobile mixology and charcuterie, which pair beautifully with the lemonade stand and allow me to bring a complete, creative food-and-drink experience to my community.
If there’s one thing I want readers to know about me and my brand, it’s that The Lemonade Lady is more than a business — it’s a labor of love, a celebration of family, and a way to bring happiness into people’s lives, one sip at a time.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe what helped me build my reputation is the authenticity and consistency behind my brand. From day one, I’ve stayed true to my grandmother’s recipe and the heart of why I started this business — to share love, family, and community through something as simple as a cup of lemonade. People can feel when something is genuine, and that honesty has built trust with my customers.
Another key factor has been showing up and being present in my community. Whether it’s a school event, local festival, or a small family gathering, I bring the same energy, joy, and care to each event. Word-of-mouth has been powerful because clients know they can count on me to deliver not only great-tasting products but also a memorable experience.
Finally, I think my reputation has grown because I put emphasis on the details and the experience. From fresh, handcrafted lemonade and creative charcuterie cups to the welcoming atmosphere I bring with my mobile stand, it’s about more than just serving food and drinks — it’s about creating moments. That combination of personal story, consistency, and community focus has made people remember The Lemonade Lady and keep coming back.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I first started The Lemonade Lady, I didn’t have a huge marketing budget, so social media became my storefront and my storytelling space. I began by sharing authentic moments — pictures and videos of me squeezing lemons, pouring drinks, or setting up for local events. People connected with the story of my grandmother’s recipe and the passion behind my work, and that authenticity helped me grow an audience.
I also made it a point to show up consistently. Even on days when I wasn’t at an event, I posted behind-the-scenes content: prepping charcuterie cups, experimenting with new flavors, or even a simple motivational message. That consistency allowed my followers to feel like they were growing with me and my business.
Engaging with my community was just as important as posting. I responded to comments, reshared customer photos, and tagged local businesses or events. That interaction made people feel seen and appreciated, which kept them connected to my brand.
My advice for anyone just starting out would be:
Be authentic. Share your story, your “why,” and let people see the person behind the brand.
Stay consistent. Even small, regular posts add up and show reliability.
Engage, don’t just post. Social media is about conversation, not just broadcasting.
Use what you have. You don’t need fancy equipment — your phone, good lighting, and genuine energy are enough to start.
At the end of the day, building an audience isn’t about chasing numbers — it’s about building a community that believes in your story and wants to support your journey.
