We recently connected with Laquane Ramsay and have shared our conversation below.
Laquane, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Transitioning into real estate was not the easiest gig. Not only did I leave a comfortable position in my life working post closing in the busiest time in mortgage industry (During Covid Refinances), I hopped into a game with less experience then my peers. I ended up renting out my Auntie’s residence so she could purchase a primary residence. I saved expenses for 3 months so if I did not make a sale in 3 months I was screwed! My auntie ended up being my first client and things went up from there!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the industry young at the age of 18. My family cleaned a mortgage firm for years before I realized it was a gold mine for my future success. I worked there with my real estate license as a marketing intern before COVID. After COVID hit they gave me a position in Post-Closing. I’m thankful for my time at the firm because it made me very knowledgeable on ALL sources of the real estate industry and not just being an agent. I work all price points in the FLORIDA. I work Residential and Land sales mostly. I have programs for every buyer and seller. I can help buyers get into there dream homes with $0 and money from there respective counties. I help individuals get started with real estate by tutoring, so they can obtain there license. What sets me apart from others is I do this for a living. I put my soul in everything I do pertaining to Real Estate I care for my clients progress. A home purchase is most peoples biggest purchase in LIFE and I want to be the one to walk you through it. My proud moments were winning MOST VALUABLE REALTOR at my brokerage in 2022 and also building my team. My team has one member so far named Schweitzer Areus and he is excelling. He has sold a property in just his first 2 months! I was always passionate about entrepreneurship, real estate has given me the ability to build relationships with individuals, educating my community with the ability to create financial freedom through real estate, and keep the gift of giving going. I would not trade this for the world!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Recently I have had to pivot on a listing out in St. Cloud! The house collapsed and is no longer on the land and it has produced a lot of pivoting moments for me in my career. We are planning on making the best out of the situation. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with the updates on this situation (it is on going) @Ramsayismyrealtor.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Business is about “Clients” it is about “friends” I don’t treat my clients like clients I treat them like family and they are loyal to what I represent. Building a business off of LOVE will make it strive 10X.
