Laneya Christine , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?

Some of the biggest Trends I am seeing in this industry is the design of the Teddy bears things I came up with. I never thought that I would create something and it would be trendy but I am grateful that I was the creator of that and I’m glad to see everyone credit me when they think of that design.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hi I am Laneya Christine and I am a designer. I always had a taste for fashion and designing when I was very young. I was in the fashion club all 4 years in high school and I knew this was something I wanted to forever. I handmade 5 collections over the past couple of years and the main one I get a lot of eyes on is my 2021 Teddy Bear Collection. I have put artist such as City Girls, Cupcakke, London Hill, Aliyah, and many more in my pieces. I am very grateful to have had an opportunities to put amazing people in my work. What I am most proud of is my work ethic, I am a hard worker and I handmake, ship, and create everything by myself; so that’s what I am most proud of and also making awesome pieces for everyone to feel confident and sexy in.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

My journey this past couple of years is has been amazing. I definitely have had my ups and downs being a designer and learning so much. But I always come back stronger and I just don’t give up no matter how hard anything is. You just have to keep pushing forward and continuing to grow.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal/mission driving my journey is being the best designer I can be and continuing to keep creating and putting beautiful people in my pieces. Who I really want to put in my pieces this year is Ice Spice so I’m hoping I can make that happen.
