We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lance Paul a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lance thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
Turning my creative passion into a full-time living has been a journey of persistence, vision, and adaptability. I started with a love for storytelling—whether through film, branded content, or visual campaigns. That passion led me to produce 16 feature films and over 200 hours of commercial and digital content across industries, helping brands connect with audiences in compelling, cinematic ways.
Over time, I realized that the skills I honed in creative production—storytelling, strategic communication, team leadership, and brand development—were incredibly transferable to marketing at a high level. I took that experience and transitioned into the health and wellness space, ultimately becoming the Head of Marketing for the top stem cell provider in the U.S.
Today, I’m still creating—only now I’m telling the story of science, transformation, and healing. It’s the perfect blend of creativity and purpose, and it’s proof that with the right mindset, a creative passion can absolutely become a powerful, sustainable career.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Lance Paul, and I’m a creative producer, storyteller, and marketing executive with a deep-rooted passion for building brands that move people—whether emotionally, physically, or even biologically. My journey into this space started with a love for storytelling through film. Over the years, that passion led me to produce 16 feature films and over 200 hours of commercial and branded content across industries including entertainment, health, wellness, lifestyle, and tech.
What I learned early on is that every successful brand, business, or movement starts with a powerful narrative—and knowing how to craft and deliver that story can be the difference between growth and stagnation. That belief is what eventually led me into marketing, where I now serve as the Head of Marketing for Odin Stem Cells, the leading stem cell provider in the U.S.
At Odin, I help translate complex regenerative medicine science into clear, compelling messages that connect with both physicians and patients. My work spans strategy, creative direction, campaign execution, and digital storytelling. I bridge the gap between science and soul—because I believe healing is personal, and so is marketing.
What sets me apart is my hybrid approach: I bring the heart and instinct of a filmmaker with the structure and scalability of a brand strategist. Whether it’s launching a new health product, creating content that drives engagement, or building community around a brand mission—I focus on results-driven storytelling that doesn’t just look good, but actually performs.
I’m most proud of the impact I’ve made through the brands I’ve helped grow and the stories I’ve been trusted to tell. From helping people find healing options they didn’t know existed to elevating conversations around health, longevity, and quality of life—this work is personal, and deeply fulfilling.
For potential clients, collaborators, and followers, I want you to know that my brand is built on authenticity, purpose, and creativity. Whether you’re a startup founder, a health professional, or an emerging brand with a mission, I bring a unique lens to marketing that connects deeply and drives results. My goal is always to tell the kind of story that doesn’t just get seen—but gets remembered.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
es—at the core of my creative journey is a mission to inspire transformation through storytelling. Whether it’s through film, branded content, or health marketing, my goal has always been to create work that not only captures attention, but also moves people toward action, healing, or self-discovery.
I believe great storytelling can bridge the gap between where people are and where they want to be—physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. That belief has fueled everything from my work in film production to my current role in regenerative medicine marketing. Whether I’m building a brand campaign for a top stem cell provider or crafting a message for social impact, I always ask: how can this story empower someone to take the next step in their journey?
At the end of the day, my creative mission is simple but powerful: to make purpose-driven content that changes lives—one story at a time.
Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my career came unexpectedly, and it completely reshaped my trajectory.
I was in the middle of producing one of my feature films when we hit a financial hurdle—one that required immediate capital to keep the project alive. Rather than letting it stall, I made the decision to personally step in and fund what was needed. That moment forced me to take a hard look at sustainability—not just in film, but in my career overall.
At the same time, I had been working with a promising regenerative medicine startup. They needed help telling their story, building their brand, and scaling their message. What started as a short-term consulting role quickly grew into something much bigger. I leaned into my experience in content production and brand storytelling, and before I knew it, I had stepped fully into the role of Head of Marketing.
Since then, I’ve helped take the company from a small, niche startup to a nationwide leader in the U.S. stem cell space. Through strategic campaigns, creative storytelling, and bold rebranding, we’ve scaled their reach and increased profit by more than 200x.
What I thought was a detour turned out to be one of the most pivotal moves of my career. It taught me that sometimes, your next big chapter isn’t something you plan—it’s something you rise to. And when you bring the same creative passion and vision to new arenas, you can create impact far beyond what you imagined.
