We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lanai Suber a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lanai , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

The story behind my mission is I chose to be an esthetician so people could people look and feel confident in their skin and I also take a natural approach when servicing my clients so they can have the best results.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I started with Beauty as a whole when I was 12 years old. In my early 20’s I started cosmetology, then switched my direction to strictly skin care services, Esthetics. I use all natural or natural based products and I think that’s what sets me apart. If it’s a client who needs more than I can give in my scope of practice I always refer them to a medical professional. What I am most proud of is I started my business from the ground and worked my way up from working from home to having my own suite locatedin Cleveland Heights, Ohio. My customers love my whipped Body butter and rose water toner. It’s my best seller. The main thing I want my customers/clients to know about my brand is they will always get the best products and excellent customers service, that’s what I pride myself in. My customers are always top priority.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

Instagram and Groupon.

Have you ever had to pivot?

During the pandemic I had to fall back on esthetics due to fear of putting my family at risk for covid and work in social service again.
