LamboGoPro, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

The most meaningful project I have done is called “Forever G3” a tape I dedicated to my little brother who passed away. His name is Gaven Andru Hughes we called him G3. He’s the third brother of me and my other brother Gabreal.. Growing up everybody called us the “3 Gboys”. Me and him had just started doing music together and it was cool to be able to add him on the tape. I really wanted to dedicate my music career and a specific tape to him.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m LamboGoPro a former pro football player from Los Angeles/IE and now music artist. Growing up I always loved music from Kanye West to the Isley Brothers but football was what gave me opportunities in life to go to college and eventually play pro. I got picked up by the Buffalo Bills and did a rookie camp and then went on to play in the XFL for the Memphis Xpress. After ending my football career I came home and started a clothing business called One Time. Besides my business being home after football I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. One night I was with a couple of my friends who have been artists and they brought me to the studio. At first I was just messing around but I laid a verse down. After that verse the rest was history. My friends were blown away by how good I was at music. After that feeling and being able to express myself on a beat I fell in love with recording and decided to take music seriously. As I continue to grow in music I can say that I’m proud of my dedication to a new field and how much I’ve grown into an artist and continue to develop through the ups and downs. What I really want out of music is to be able to support my family and grow businesses and also encourage others to recreate themselves! We are so much more than just one thing as people we have so many different skills and talents. Believe in yourself and run towards that passion!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The goal that’s driving my journey as an artist now is my little brother. He believed in me more than anything. He was always so proud of me he gave me the energy I needed to believe in my craft even in hard times! My brother already saw me as the biggest artist. I’m doing this for him! Every dream and goal we set I have to accomplish.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is definitely being able to inspire someone. Receiving messages or calls from people telling you how your songs helped them through something or inspired them to do something! Being able to positively impact people makes it all worth it. As an artist I be struggling and going through it like everybody else and I put all that into my music so for it to bring inspiration or peace to my listeners is the best feeling.
