We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lala Triplett. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lala below.
Lala, we appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
When I got started in business I knew what my business was about and who it was for, personalized wardrobe and style services for high level female entrepreneurs ready to command rooms confidently by elevating their image & personal style. My mission has always been to help women show up in life and work with more confidence through style.
Now my mission has expanded to include helping women transform their life to an inspired fulfilled life that they dream of. Helping women get unstuck, stop being on the sidelines of their own life & playing small and unlock their full potential.

Lala, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am an Entrepreneur, Speaker and Coach.
My background is in the fashion retail industry in women’s luxury and contemporary fashion. I’ve also worked in different parts of the business of retail from Sales to Leadership. After spending over ten years in the industry working with hundreds of women to elevate and curate their style, I saw a need for a personalized service that went beyond simply the purchasing of clothes, but incorporating the clarity of personal style vision and self-image.
My business has evolved since starting with the creation of new offers for the women I work with.
I solve the problems of the modern day woman ready to either transform or go to the next level in her life, with her style and in her business or career. This is a 360 approach to offering my client services to empower her to show up as the best version of who she is.
When clients come to me, they come to me for several reasons.
1.) They want to get unstuck in their life, stop playing small and confidently start living the life they desire; they want clarity, guidance, resources, and community with like-minded women who also are leveling up their life.
2.) They’re established successful high level female entrepreneurs wanting to continue to grow in life & business, be apart of a community of other established successful like-minded female entrepreneurs, build authentic relationships and receive support or business advice. (She also loves a bit of luxury.)
3.) They’re established successful high level female entrepreneurs who understand the importance and power of showing up with a well put together image and want to elevate their image and style.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
When I made the leap into business, I didn’t have mentors or coaches. I made the leap because I knew I was meant for more, I was over being restricted by working for someone else and I knew that the only way to reach my potential was to leave my then job.
Through the process of delving into business and learning as I went, I had to unlearn being an employee and working hard. We’re taught that to be successful you just have to work harder. This never really sat well with me but I still found myself always working harder at my job, doing work that was not in my zone of genius.
These certain ideals that we’re taught about hard work were still present until I started taking courses, immersing myself in personal development and learning from successful business people. Doing this opened up my world, allowing me to gain a new level of understanding and let go of these old ideals.
One lesson I took from one of my favorite motivational speakers is: work harder on yourself than you do your job.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I talk about pivoting all the time! I think people are afraid of pivoting, there can be a bad connotation sometimes. But I think these last few years have helped people to understand that pivoting is normal and completely okay.
My first year of business was focused on styling female entrepreneurs. As much as I love helping women confidently elevate their personal image and style, there was something else that seemed missing and I felt like styling wasn’t just what I was suppose to be doing.
This kicked off my journey to learning how I could better serve utilizing my experience and skillset. And so I pivoted to include business coaching, initially focused on the business of retail. During the process of testing out business coaching, I realized again that there were other parts that were missing for women entrepreneurs— Personal Development.
Uncovering all of this was like finding the missing pieces to what I was seeking to better serve with my business, experience and skillset.
Whew! This was such a process. But I was pivoting as I was learning and evolving.
