We recently connected with LaKisha Calvin and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, LaKisha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The story behind my mission is to help as many people as I can. I want to see people get better and feel better. I don’t like to see people in pain, when they have tried every Avenue and just don’t know what to I try and help them the best way I can. My mission at the end of the day is to be there when no one else is.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is LaKisha I’m 34 and I’m an herbalist. I have been studying herbs for a few years now and I love it. I got in to herbs because of my grandmother, she was sick and I wish I could have helped her not be in pain and deal with her sickness. After she passed I started doing some research on natural medicine and remedies and that is when Blessing of Nature’s food was born. I went down the rabbit hole of herbs and started finding where they grow what they do and how to take them. I looked up where to get all natural organic herbs. When I started promoting them people came. When I sold my first product I was so happy and I was even more happier when they came back and told me that it helped them. I have helped a lot of people with pains that they have tried to get rid of and the most thing I love about it is im helping people with food. What sets me about from others is that im not in this for the money I really want to help people, now don’t get me wrong im not doing this all for free but if some one needs help I will help no questions asked. What I want people to know is that I love what I do I love herbs and I love to see people happy and well.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I have to unlearn was you can not eat the same way you did when you was younger. Your body will reject it as you get older. I was always told you can eat the same thing all your life when you really can’t. Your body will reject things has you get older.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I feel the best effective strategy for growing your clientele is always have something new, people don’t like see the same thing over and over again. People like to see new thing they like having options when it comes to products.
