Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lakeasha Jackson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Lakeasha , thanks for joining us today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?

My name is Lakeasha Jackson. I am a model,a casting director, red carpet host, influencer, serial entrepreneur and a financial coach. Having a huge passion for the fashion industry, along with being faced at the young age 17 with the brutal murder of the man who would’ve been my husband, my son’s father tarnished my entire life. This rewrote my future, because not only did it leave me a heartbroken single mom of a 7 month old baby boy, but yet a single “teen mom”, it honestly left me mentally and emotionally paralyzed. Ive spent many years praying and planning different ways to turn my numbness, pain, ambitions & desires into my very own legacy. As I stated before my love for fashion has always been very vivid in my life, which led to me working in the fashion industry as a teen before the murder, jack of all trades, yet I’m still learning to fully embrace my strengths, it’s a daily decision for us to shift our prospectives and focus on our blessings.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

What sets me apart from others is my “why.”My why has truly fueled my success. Success to me is touching lives globally and truly making a difference. It’s someone hearing my story while they’re at rock bottom in life and suddenly feeling inspired to never give up, no matter what life throws their way. Success to me isn’t all about finances. It’s about digging deep, coming to terms with WHO you really are at the core and striving to fulfill your purpose in life. It’s about being genuinely happy when the day is over and you’re all alone… are you happy? That’s true success to me.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Finally pausing in life after 12 years of trying it on my own, and seeking professional therapy, That one decision has changed my life for the better tremendously. I’m not where I’ll end up but I’m so much better that where I was prior to now and that in itself displays resilience.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Making my son proud is one of my biggest missions that’s a huge driving force within my creative journey. It starts at home and I want him to see that mommy did it! She made all our dreams turn into realities.
