LaJuan, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

My story behind my mission is to assure individuals have endurable shoes. The goal is to donate to children that is needful for shoes to wear in school, outside, and church. Also, to avoid throwing shoes away once they are useless. Nashvillesoles can repair the shoe by cleaning the upper, mid, and bottom of the soles. With that being said we have the option to either donate or resell them to boutiques that can be able to sell grade A or B quality at a price that is affordable. Shoes are incredibly expensive in this day in time. It is like the housing market, shoes are in a selling market at the moment so why not allow individuals to be able to afford shoes at a lower price. That is why keeping shoes recycled is important. If there is a shoe that needs a full repair ( sole replacement or stitch in), we have resources to give that provides service.

LaJuan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am 26 years of age, a young successful black citizen of American that want to build a bridge for generations and set an example from where I came from. If I can do it then you can as well. However, it is the mental state that has to be motivated to be in the position to be great like myself or even in a greater position. I got in to the this particular industry for the love I have for shoes. I was tired of throwing away shoes or buying new shoes that is 2x more then what it is actually worth. I wanted to give hope to shoe lovers that one scuff on a shoe is not the end of the world. Our shoe vaccine ( shoe cleaner) can take care of any scuffs or stains. Soon to come we have shoe washing machines that can guarantee clean and repair. If you are reading this article and have shoes you do not wear anymore, feel free to reach out to us. Unless they are exclusive and worth true currency years later. Lets change an person life by giving them a pair they did not have. What sets me apart from others is that we donate, and willing to give back to others. Not saying the competition does not have that motive be we are here and vocal about we we want to do for our community. We are different from others by being Nashville’s shoe laundry specifically for shoes. The main thing I am proud about for what I do is by putting smiles on my clients and creating less stress and worry about their shoes. I proud that we are here to state we are here to help and give. Us as the brand want everyone to know we are working hard everyday for new ideas and improvements to make this a better business for individuals. We are soon to do a giving back cleaning service for the community so stay in tune!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

We are a delivery and shipping company but soon to have a store front in the next couple of months. When it comes down to social media you really have to understand your followers will grow over time, not over night. Myself for example, my focus on advertising will be towards boutiques shops and sneaker heads around the city of Nashville. This is not a big market in Nashville just yet and I do believe we are ahead of our time; but I enjoying the low moments of this business. Being able to see it grow is the beauty part of it. I have not bought any followers I decided to see how my webpage can naturally grow with true inspiring shoe lovers and clients. I built my social media around fashion and any relative fields when it come to footwear. A word a mouth is another strategy I use and highly recommend. I check my analytics everyday. I have more viewers then buyers of course. Nevertheless, I will not let that discourage me and the brand. It motivate me to network harder and put more time into it. We are a young business and it will take time and patience to become more successful then what we are today. I am still focusing on building my audience, I am new with starting a business and soon to build a good marketing team for us.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?

At first I seen this opportunity as another way to have extra income. Cleaning shoes at my house on a daily. As I seen it sparked interest to most people, I decided to make this legit and to become an entrepreneur by solving issues by making life easy. I would never thought I would be on my second article for my business. Cleaning shoes always been under the radar as a side hustle. But by making this bigger market then what it use to be makes me feel more like a leader. However, Nashvillesoles is inspired by Jason Mark and Reshoevn8r.
