We caught up with the brilliant and insightful LaGina R Harris a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi LaGina R., thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
As a social impact entrepreneur and positive disruptor, I’m driven by a creative lens that sees the world as a canvas for equitable change and amplified voices. Proudly rooted in my HBCU experience at Stillman College and as a Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. sister, my journey blends art, advocacy, and entrepreneurship. I’m an operations and logistics consultant, a speaker on everything from the future of work to the transformation of overlooked spaces, a visual fine artist, and a higher education practitioner passionate about student retention. Emerging as a media personality, my focus is always storytelling—shining light on underrepresented stories and reimagining the possible.
Through The Us Space, I explore the future of work and collaborative ecosystems, creating environments that breathe life into stagnant spaces and support business owners’ growth and sustainability. In my podcast series, LaRae Infinity “Let’s Talk,” and my radio show, The Stomping Ground with LaGina Rae, I bring out the soul in every story I tell. Whether moderating panels or emceeing events, I strive to uncover the artistry in everyone’s journey.
Mentoring is another art form to me. I work with business owners in Greater Houston and beyond, sharing my creative lens through RED Labs, Founders Institute Houston, gBeta, OwlSpark, and Rice MBA New Enterprises. As a co-founder of Melanin Minds, I’m honored to have received a proclamation from Harris County declaring the last weekend in July as “Melanin Minds Mental Health Advocacy and Wellness Weekend.” Serving on the Board of Directors for Lift Collective and as the Alumni Leadership Co-chair for The Center for Houston’s Future, I’m focused on building ecosystems that encourage diverse leadership and an inspired future of work.
Art fuels my purpose, weaving inspiration into every project, every conversation. My family, my most profound inspiration, has always embraced my individuality and championed my vision. I see things differently, and I believe everything is connected between creativity and analysis.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Beyond being the “Talking Head” of LaRae Infinity Media, I’m also the Creative Director, overseeing everything from events to media projects, including client podcast productions. I’m proud of how I’ve built something bold, fresh, and real—right from the start, I committed to making our work as unique as the people we work with. No cookie-cutter projects here—each piece is crafted to capture our clients’ distinct vision.
I’m grateful to have a team that believes in our vision and works tirelessly to bring great projects to life with incredible people. One of my favorite parts of being a founder is bringing together talent from all walks of life. Working with producers, musicians, and creatives isn’t just about finishing the job; it’s about creating a space where everyone’s strengths can shine. It’s amazing to know that each project not only fulfills our clients’ goals but also supports my team in growing their own businesses and realizing their dreams. There’s nothing better than writing those checks and knowing our work is helping them move forward.
For me, LaRae Infinity is personal—it’s me. My brand is a reflection of my values, my vision, and my passion for amplifying other voices. Watching it grow, especially with a whole branch dedicated to media and production, has been a wild and fulfilling journey. Every day, I’m grateful for the chance to create with and for others.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Right now is a pivotal time for artists and creatives to be recognized and celebrated for their contributions. As Christopher Zara said in Tortured Artists, “Great art comes from great pain,” and while that may be true, great art also thrives with great support.
The best way to uplift us? Commission us, work with us, and pay us for our genius. Respect the process and the time, dedication, and authenticity it takes to create meaningful work.
When you engage with creatives—whether through collaboration, sponsorship, or simply amplifying our voices—you’re investing in something real. It’s more than just a product or performance; it’s a movement rooted in creativity, truth, and community. So, if you’re here, following along or considering working with us—know that you’re joining something that’s real, creative, and rooted in a commitment to authenticity.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Absolutely! For me, it’s all about creating meaningful, impactful work that challenges norms and amplifies voices. The mission is clear: to push boundaries and tell authentic stories.
I’m also driven by the excitement of seeing my team thrive—locking in major projects and traveling for amazing opportunities that expand our reach and creativity. I always say, “We’re a Netflix-worthy production team!” That’s the level of excellence, innovation, and storytelling we strive for every day.
Our journey is about delivering even bigger.
