We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lady Danae a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lady , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is my short film “Pre-Production Meeting” that I recently wrote, directed, and produced. It is a comedy that features some remarkable Arizona talent!
This project is meaningful to me because it’s the most diverse cast and crew I’ve ever had on a project. It includes a hilarious wheelchair actor-comedian and members of various racial, religious, and cultural groups.
It’s also the most passion I’ve ever had on one project. I could feel that all of our journeys had merged together with the most perfectly aligned timing so that this project could be the impetus to launch the careers of the talented and passionate artists on the project. I am so grateful to be able to provide a bridge for them to reach their dreams!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, I’m Lady Danae. I’m a Model, Actor, Musician, and Filmmaker.
As a Model, I help brands large and small to scale and penetrate their desired markets by creating content on my social media channels via paid sponsorships and brand deals, or by being utilized in magazines and television commercials.
My aesthetic is an intriguing mixture of sexy and “the girl next door,” and my signature style is wearing activewear with heels.
My most popular industries are: beauty, hair, fashion & accessories, fragrance, fitness, and jewelry.
What makes me stand out as a model is that my facial features achieve the Golden Ratio, and I can feature in ads for brands that target male audiences due to my highly engaged and sizable male following.
I’m also active in film and music. I write, direct and produce my own films. I write songs and sing. I also produce some of my own music. I am working towards releasing my debut album at the top of 2023.
What I want people to know about my brand and my work is that “sexy” can be all-inclusive if you choose to see it that way. Simply meaning, being confident in who you are is sexy in itself. We all have our own unique “sexy,” and I want everyone to embrace that about themselves.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Out of all the days of the year, I started my main social media page on April 1st! I had the idea to start the page and I decided to act immediately on the inspiration instead of overthinking it.
I started with a few posts that didn’t cost much money to create: photos from a photo shoot with a photographer friend, selfies of me in my room with my microphone setup, and a few videos of me singing or talking about music. Then, I ran an ad to promote my page and trust me, I’m sure I didn’t spend over $20. I gained my first followers that way.
The first year of building my page, the followers were crawling in. It took 7 months for me to gain 1,000 followers. Currently, my page is gaining 6,000 followers per month and accelerating!
Here are a few things I did to make my following grow exponentially:
1. I posted consistently. I began scheduling my posts in advance and posted 3x per week (generally Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings). This way, my audience regularly had fresh content from me.
2. I studied my audience and insights. Using the insights in Meta, I discovered the genders, age groups, and geographic locations of my audience. Plus, I could see which of my posts performed the best and use that metric to create similar content because I knew my audience loved that type of content.
3. I leveled up my photography! I began to use my professional camera instead of my cell phone and began using professional software for editing. The aesthetic of my page went through the roof and so did my following!
I only ran an ad that one time in the beginning. The rest of my following has been purely organic.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
When you are a creative or an artist, you KNOW it deep in your soul! It doesn’t matter if you enter into a non-creative profession; the creative part of you will yearn to be evolved and expressed, and it will continue to do this no matter how old you get!
This is why a lawyer might leave the law field and become an actor, or an accountant may become a painter, etc. Non-creatives may sometimes see this as a midlife or existential crisis, but I beg to differ. I see it as the artist inside is bursting out of the cocoon because it is time for that artist to fly and thrive!
