We were lucky to catch up with Lacey Ladgenski recently and have shared our conversation below.
LACEY, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me happened recently during one of the most challenging times of my life. After being a stay-at-home mom to my five sons since 2007, I suddenly found myself navigating life as a single mom, doing it 100% on my own. My family, who lives a few states away, immediately urged me to come ‘home.’ But Colorado is home for my boys and I now.
Instead of falling apart, I found strength I didn’t know I had. I became more energized and inspired than ever to show my boys what resilience and determination look like. I am not one who likes to ask for help, so what truly amazed me during this time was how our Colorado friends—who we now call family—stepped in without hesitation. They didn’t just offer support; they took care of us in ways I’ll never forget. From helping with meals and tasks around the house to emotional support, their kindness lifted us up and reminded me of the power of community and amazing friendships!
It’s a testament to the incredible people around us and a reminder that sometimes, family isn’t just who you’re related to—it’s who shows up for you when you need them most.

LACEY, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a single mom of five amazing boys, and my journey into real estate is deeply rooted in my desire to show them what hard work, perseverance, and passion can achieve. After years of being a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to build something meaningful not just for myself, but for my family. Real estate felt like a natural fit because I’ve always had a passion for home design and a deep appreciation for the feeling of ‘home.’
What sets me apart is my personal experience in creating and maintaining a home filled with love, energy, and practicality. I understand that a home isn’t just a transaction—it’s a place where memories are made and futures are built. My background in fitness also gives me a high-energy, goal-oriented approach, which I bring to every client relationship.
I’m dedicated to helping my clients find more than just a house—I help them find a place that fits their unique lifestyle and dreams. Whether it’s a first-time buyer or a growing family, I strive to provide personalized guidance, a keen eye for design potential, and unwavering support throughout the process. I’m not just selling homes; I’m helping people create a future they’re excited about, just as I’m building one for my boys.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I’m relatively new to the social media game, and honestly, I wouldn’t have taken the plunge if it weren’t for my son encouraging me to put myself out there. At first, I was hesitant—social media felt overwhelming—but once I started, I realized how much fun it can be! It’s not just about promoting listings; it’s about sharing my journey, connecting with people, and showing the personal side of real estate.
I’ve built my audience by being authentic and consistent. I share not just the homes I’m selling, but also behind-the-scenes moments, home design and fitness tips, and glimpses of my life as a mom of five boys. I want people to feel like they’re getting to know me, not just the realtor.
For anyone just starting out, my advice is simple: be yourself and show up consistently. Don’t worry about perfection—people connect with real, relatable content. Also, engage with your audience. Reply to comments, ask questions, and create a conversation. Social media is a powerful tool for building relationships, and when you approach it with authenticity and a bit of fun, the audience will naturally follow.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I believe real estate is deeply personal, and my approach to staying in touch with clients reflects that. I love interacting in person and building genuine relationships that often go beyond the transaction. My clients aren’t just clients—they become friends, and I’m invested in their lives long after the deal closes.
For me, fostering brand loyalty is about being there, not just when they need a realtor, but as someone they trust and value in their life. It’s that personal connection that makes all the difference, and I’m grateful to build lasting relationships with the people I have the privilege to work with.
