Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lacey Goodeill. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lacey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How do you think about spending on things like coffee when times are tough?
Purchasing inventory is something I’ve had to completely change my thinking on since opening my business two years ago, I made a lot of mistakes when it came to this and unfortunately way over spent, before I purchase any new inventory now I ask myself “do I really love this?” “Is the pricing ok?” “does it fit the style that’s in my store?”

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Four years ago I was working as a full time Massage Therapist, my Sister owned her own Home Decor store and was opening a second location, she offered me the position as Manager and I decided to accept! I quickly fell in love with making spaces beautiful, styling, and building relationships with customers. Fast forward two years and I purchased the store from my Sister the week before the country shut down from Covid.. It was hard, but we made it! Fast forward another two years and I am still in love with my business, It’s my happy place. I want customers to come in and feel at peace, to take their time looking, no pressure to purchase, if they want to chat they can but if not that’s ok too, you will most of the time hear coffee house covers or acoustic pop, whatever I am in the mood for that day. I love when customers bring in pictures and we help them pick out pieces that are unique and perfect for their space. We started out with a Modern Farmhouse feel and have shifted more to a Mid-Century, Boho, We carry Plants and Planters, PIllows, Throw Blankets, Trinkets, Gift Items, and more.. I love posting and engaging on social media and have worked hard to keep improving the quality of the pictures I post, if I don’t think It’s beautiful I won’t post it. I want my customers to know who I am, I am a Mom, Wife, Business owner, I am learning along the way, just wanting to do what I love while forming relationships and having fun.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Having customers “check in” for a small discount is an easy thing to do! Have them mention or tag you in their stories of pictures of products in their home, Giveaway’s work wonders. I did all of these to get followers.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I use Lightspeed POS and pay to have rewards for my customers, It automatically sends out a text when they have a reward and keeps them coming back into the store.
