We recently connected with LaBridgette Levi and have shared our conversation below.

Hi LaBridgette, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

To be honest, i was just doing it because it was passion i really had and being creative in my own way just for family or friends. But what turned it into some more was a significant other brought it to my attention and i really didn’t pay no mind at first but once he made me business card and car magnets and flyers and other business stuff to promote it was like wow shocking like you really believe in me like that to make me believe i can do anything. It was ruff at first because i was shy and scared but i grow out of it all just started doing what i love best. Making people happy and smile about they orders.

LaBridgette, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m a business owner, i had passion to making all kinds of sweet desserts for people. I make chocolate cover strawberries, custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cakepops, rice crispy treats, brownies and etc. Clients come to me about a party, wedding, anniversary, and just any kind of gathering really to inquire about different services i provide. What really set me aside from most is really straight with my clients like if you asking about a cake or cupcakes that grocery stores can make i will send them to them because if your not trying do nothing to big or you might think my pricing is high. Most proud of is how far I’m still going and what most of all is expect myself to keep going no matter what it’s the passion for me. What i want everybody to know is I’m a small business trying to make it through just like anybody else but i have good heart and mean well I’m not trying to hurt nobody I just want to people to let my work speak for itself like try it for yourself don’t second guess it give it a try i promise you will not be disappointed at all.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

The passion for the desserts was just a side hustle from the very beginning just doing it for family, friends and friends from people i knew from work. Everyone knew i did desserts i brought some to work and to school like everybody was like tay you really should turn this into a business or something more and i was always like oh no i couldn’t I’m shy it’s just a passion i love to do. Look at me now a business i love to do every chance i get. The key milestones was getting out of being shy really talking to more people and getting word out more about it and it wasn’t easy but in time i got it all down just by word of mouth and just posting online like Social media.

I keep in touch with all my clients through social media or by text or talk or video post to check in let everyone know I’m still here anytime and all the time just like you can call or text if you feel like you need to vent to someone that will not judge you or anything just give you advice or help anyway i can.
