The name of my business is called EmeraldAura.
Emerald is more than just a beautiful green stone; it’s known for representing love, growth, and matters of the heart. In crystal healing, emerald is associated with the heart chakra, which governs compassion, empathy, and emotional balance. The choice of Emerald reflects a commitment to creating jewelry that resonates with people seeking a deeper connection to their own emotions and intentions.
Aura speaks to the idea of energy fields and the invisible essence that surrounds and influences each of us. An aura represents one’s personal energy, intentions, and spirit-qualities that make each person unique. By combining “Emerald” with “Aura”, the name suggests a line of jewelry designed to not only adorn the body but also to uplift and balance one’s inner energy, connecting beauty with personal wellness.
To deepen the meaning behind EmeraldAura, it is a tribute to my late mother, who transitioned in March 2020, during the pandemic. She loved the color green. It brings her spirit into the the essence of every piece I create. She embodied the qualities of love and resilience. As my birthstone, emerald holds special meaning to me. It represents both my own journey and the loving memories I carry of my mother.
In short, EmeraldAura stands for jewelry that’s crafted with love to support your heart’s journey and energy. Designed for those who seek both beauty and meaning in what they wear.

Hi there! I’m La-Starr, the heart and hands behind Emerald Aura, a crystal jewelry brand rooted in love, intention, and a little bit of sparkle for the soul. I am 37 years old, from Brooklyn, New York. Growing up, I was immersed in music and faith, singing in choirs since I was four years old. But as life unfolded, I discovered that my connection to the divine wasn’t confined to traditional paths—it was an adventure of energy, creativity, and self-discovery.

In 2019, I began exploring the world of chakras, affirmations, and crystals, and it changed my life. After losing my mom in 2020, I found comfort and healing in crystals, discovering their power to inspire, guide, and support me during the toughest times. That’s when my love for making jewelry took off—it was a joyful, creative way to share this energy with others.

Through Emerald Aura, I get to do what I love: craft unique, meaningful pieces designed to empower and uplift, all while connecting with amazing people like you. Whether you’re drawn to the beauty of crystals, their energy, or simply looking for something special, you’ll find that every piece I create has its own story and intention.

When I’m not crafting, you’ll find me spending time with my daughter, diving into all things wellness, or indulging my inner introvert with a good book or a deep conversation. Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

One of the most rewarding parts of building Emerald Aura has been seeing how much people love my pieces—often before they even know I made them! My best source of new clients so far has been a little self-advertising: I wear my own creations every day, and it’s incredible how often someone stops to ask, “Where did you get that?”

What starts as a casual compliment often turns into a meaningful conversation about crystals, energy, and the intention behind my work. From there, word of mouth spreads, and it’s been amazing to see my pieces resonate with so many people.

Now, I’m ready to take Emerald Aura to the next level. With a growing community of supporters and a vision to reach even more people, I’m stepping into this next chapter with big plans to launch in early 2025.
