Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to La Constelación. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
La, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
A friend who owns a high-end designer clothing rental offered me to collaborate on a project, suggesting the creation of a theatrical capsule within his brand. Given my background as an actress deeply rooted in the theatrical field, I began cataloging each piece and crafting a concept through photo and video productions. As I delved deeper, I realized it wasn’t solely about the clothing; it also encompassed interpersonal relationships, reflecting how in Argentina, we often channel resources through personal tools and criteria, relying on those closest to us. Thus, the concept of “constellation” emerged, blending elements of group therapy and theater, where individuals step into each other’s shoes to unravel something. “Constellation” became a means to assist a friend in understanding their experience with garments now in the hands of others. This concept now serves as the foundation for a diverse range of content generation, spanning costuming, imagery, and writing, shaping narratives through texts, plays, poetry, and essays.
Indeed, within this collaborative endeavor, we’ve discovered the capacity to transform anything into artistic material. Whether it’s the garments themselves, the narratives woven around them, or the very dynamics of personal relationships, each element becomes a canvas upon which to create. This transformative power underscores the richness and depth of our creative exploration, allowing us to continually innovate and evolve within the realms of fashion, theater, and beyond.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Certainly! I’m an actress and dancer with a background in film studies and a passion for producing audiovisual content. Currently, I lead a team of professional photographers, stage artists, and individuals from the film industry. Our aim is to encourage individuals to approach us with their personal and professional projects, fostering a shift in consciousness and societal image. The question of image today extends beyond screens; it delves into our subconscious. We must become less naïve to mass media, which often sells us life models that, if not critically examined, we adopt, leading us to exist in ways that aren’t truly ours. Consequently, we surrender our cognitive system, thoughts, and even our strength to perpetuate models that reinforce violence, such as hegemonies, patriarchy, and power structures benefiting a select few.
The concept of “constellation” embodies our artistic resources being utilized to delve deeper into aiding the community. If you’re unsure how to navigate your content, whether it’s in sound, imagery, textures, drawings, or plans, whether they’re loose ideas, drafts, or concepts, reach out to us. We specialize in “constellating” your content, expanding its connection to your concerns while prioritizing physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. We adhere to a philosophical lineage spanning from Epicurus to Spinoza and draw inspiration from artists who collaborate with the community, including Agnes Varda, Marguerite Duras, Francis Bacon, Vivienne Westwood as well as our own emerging and trending artists. What sets us apart is our commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of the self and society through art, and we’re most proud of the transformative impact our work has on individuals and communities alike.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that working closely with friends and loved ones, whether they’re family by blood or soul, can leave you vulnerable and excessively exposed to your own emotions and thoughts. Sometimes, being overly open in interpersonal relationships without preserving space for solitude and individual consciousness can make you susceptible to the overwhelming amount of information in public spaces and social encounters. I’ve found myself in situations of significant commitment, responsibility, and pressure where I couldn’t maintain my sanity amidst the circumstances of those close to me, which are also important. Through reflection and evaluation of those experiences, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s essential to allocate time and space for each task, to rest both from oneself and from others, to grant oneself permission to relax, and to maintain perspective. This is achieved by cultivating patience and understanding that life is complex and requires many layers of meaning and subtle awareness. Practices such as nutrition, meditation, and physical activities related to body dynamics, strength, and stillness aid in accessing the supreme self and understanding that there’s no absolute right or wrong in this world—just challenges and experiences that we must navigate with tolerance and respect.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe that growing up in various environments, such as my grandmother’s neighborhood, my own home, and different social circles, granted me a broader perspective of the world. Despite residing in a small city, I was exposed to different societal facets, including poverty, through my involvement in marginalized communities with my mother. Gradually, I immersed myself in artistic environments like theater and dance, always surrounded by individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. My gatherings at home were characterized by thoughtful details that fostered a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging self-expression. Influences from music, and literature, primarily through my father figure at the time, further enriched my upbringing. Upon moving to Buenos Aires, I professionalized my artistic career and expanded my familial horizons, traveling across Argentina and abroad. My relationship with my sister Martina also profoundly shapes my outlook on life; her avant-garde approach in fashion continuously inspires me, and our paths intertwine through shared discoveries. Today, I recognize my role as a direct influencer within the artistic realm, evident through my consistent work on personal projects, their publication to society, and the invitation extended to other artists to participate. This cyclical engagement ensures a continuous exchange of critical ideas, with individuals naturally integrating aspects of my work into their own through osmosis and practical work.
