Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to L. A. Sky. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, L. A. thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
As a writer, we always want to know how a reader feels about our story, rather it’s good or bad, we just want to know. There was this one reader in particular who had reached out to me a couple of years ago on Instagram. She stated how she found my page and enjoyed my content. She also went on about feeling leery to read my book because I was an unknown author to her. However, she reassured me that doubt was incorrect. She was blown away from the storyline and thanked me for bringing her out of this reading slump she had been in for quite some time. She ended the message with, “I’m a forever reader of yours.” To me, that’s customer success.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My passion for writing began as a young girl, around the age of 8 or 9. I would sit and watch soap operas, also known as ‘Stories,’ on ABC with my grandmothers. I was invested, like millions of other viewers around the country. But for me, it felt like I was supposed to be there, on set, working alongside the actors and crew. I recall many occasions where I would envision myself sitting in the writer’s room, creating those iconic scenes. I was hooked. So, it’s not surprising that when I finally decided to write my first book, that I would incorporate all the things I loved from watching daytime soaps. It’s just something about the suspense and passion I yearned for Monday through Friday, that has now become the genre I write in. When I say, I love what I do, I truly from the bottom of my heart love writing, romantic suspense.
‘Tomorrow’ is the first book I’ve ever written. It was self-published in September of 2018. Since then, I have published three more books within the Today’s Series, while also venturing into kindle Vella with a brand-new story called, Seven Daze of Merci. I’m always thinking of new storylines and plots to write. I’ll be out spending time with my family and like clockwork, a new idea always come to mind. Honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. As long as I have stories to tell, I’m going to keep writing them. So, join me on this journey as we explore together the lives of these characters and the trials and tribulations they’ll face.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a writer is hearing my readers express the joy and excitement they felt while reading my books. When they message me as soon as they’ve finished a book, questioning when the next book is dropping or when am I releasing another episode on Kindle Vella, I know I’m doing something great and that’s the best reward I could ever ask for.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing an audience for me has been coming from behind the camera. As much as I would have loved to have just made posts of book blurbs and quotes in hopes of bringing in an audience was unrealistic. The moment I showed face and opened myself up enough to let the viewers in was the moment my audience grew, and my book sales began to increase.
