We recently connected with Kymberly Langford and have shared our conversation below.
Kymberly, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I actually started twice…. I had just started my business right before COVID hit, so I had to close shop on the travel business because I just wasn’t getting any business. Life happened in between, but I was able to start back up this year. I got the idea to start my travel business when I saw how much I loved to travel. I saw how much I loved to see the world and I wanted to help others do the same. One day while I was a work as a concierge, I ran into an individual who had the resources that I needed to grow my business. That then sparked the idea to teach people how to grow and start their own travel businesses like he taught me, and the rest is history!
To get started, I had to look into the company that I was considering joining that would help my business grow. After a few conversations with the person who sponsored me, I started my business by learning from the pros that came before me and executing their tactics.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Kymberly Langford, and I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I got into this industry through my love of travel and wanting to own my own business. I own and manage a travel agency as well as teach others how to start and grow their own travel businesses. I help people learn the keys to creating generational wealth by showing how to incorporate network marketing with travel. What I’m most proud of is the fact that I was able to find a legitimate successful company to partner with to grow my travel business that gave me the opportunity to learn from and earn with others.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I initially started my business out of pocket. I was taking money that I had earned from my corporate job to fund my business. I was also fortunate enough to have received some grants and loans from the SBA to keep me afloat and able to expand business operations. Now I take 10% off the top of my pay check each week to fund my business.

How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.
I book travel through my virtual back office that was provided to me when i signed up for my business. I love that all I have to do is log in and book in order to do business. The one thing that I wish was available was a mobile app option.
