We recently connected with Kylie Turner and have shared our conversation below.
Kylie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Having been in the digital marketing space for just over a decade now, I have had my fair share of high and low points throughout. Pursuing work that you’re passionate about and have an innate desire to accomplish – both for yourself and your brand – should be at the forefront of your mind when asking yourself the question, “Is this how I should be achieving my goal?” I want to continue building myself into a resource that startup or long-established companies feel they can come to and trust for creative direction and brand guidance. Before anything else. I take a unique approach to each client that I work with because no two are the same. I provide my clients with unbiased, genuine advice and guidance no matter what vertical they fall into.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Navigating the waters of starting your own business is daunting. That being said, I have a laundry list of amazing individuals who helped guide me through the process. From drafting my first invoice to client management, it takes a village. I am lucky enough to have had caring friends, professors, and mentors to help me along the way. I’m proud to offer influencer services and contract negotiation, full-full digital marketing campaigns, and overall brand guidance to my clients.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Pursuing a creative career path was less of a conscious choice and more of a natural progression for me. In my early twenties, I was bursting with ideas and would pitch them to anyone who would listen. Eventually, I ended up taking matters into my own hands and launching my creative services to various small businesses in Southern California. It took time, but soon enough I was able to build a sustainable roster of clients who saw the value in my work. The thing about happy clients is that they create a snowball effect, especially when working in niche markets such as hospitality or fashion. Since then, I haven’t looked back.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Hands down, the most rewarding aspect of being in such a creative space is the sense of pride and accomplishment I feel when I’m able to get a win for my clients, no matter how big or small, that positively impacts their brand identity.
