We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kylie Montigney. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kylie below.
Kylie , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
The way I learned what I have done so far in my career is watching how other people conduct interviews to get a feel on what I should do each interview & how to conduct a conversation. The learning process took a bit to learn & grow by the way I could’ve speed up my learning process was reaching out to people for advice in my career field & how I can grow as a Journalist. The skills that I have found the most helpful in my career so far is keep the conversation flowing, ask questions, do research, and be persistent. The obstacles that stood in the way of learning more is balancing my career & my personal life which has been very difficult but I am learning every day on how to find a balance between those two things.
Kylie , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Kylie Montigney is a Host/Founder/ Blogger/Dancer and Activist from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Growing up, Kylie had two cousins that worked for her local news station in Northeastern PA and when she will hear them talking about stories they covered, people they interviewed, etc she felt so inspired by what they do that she decided to do it herself. She has gained well deserved attention as a Podcast Host. Kylie started a podcast on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcast, and Amazon Music or whatever you get your podcast in April 2021 as a 14-year-old. She got to interview some big stars like Madison Watkins, Caitlin Wachs, Madeline the Person, Brianne Davis, Gilles Marini, Gabrielle Stone, and so much more. What sets Kylie apart from different hosts is that she is open about her experience with anxiety and depression, and she also works hard for her dreams. Kylie releases episodes every week on her podcast and has had over 100 guests on her show. She hopes to inspire younger generations that they can be anything in the world and no one can stop them.
