Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyle Young. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kyle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’ve love to hear an interesting investment story – what was one of the best or worst investments you’ve made? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)
In 2014, I was a teacher for three years, commuting between Connecticut and New York weekly. Although teaching was not my passion, it paid the bills. As a result, I lived in New York and wanted to take advantage of the large city’s perks. To save time, one of the things I avoided was doing laundry, which led me to purchase new clothes frequently. This habit really impacted my money. This lasted for about a year. The next school season, instead of buying clothes, I upgraded my music studio equipment, which improved my art and actually allowed me to focus on my passion. This investment eventually paid off, and I am still making money from it today, allowing me to pursue my dream of creating music. This experience has taught me to always prioritize the things we love and invest in them.

Kyle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Kyle Young, and I specialize in music production, video/film, graphic design, and related fields. I grew up with an artist father and have been immersed in the art field my entire life. My dad taught me the basics of drawing at a young age, and he also showed me some notes on the piano which sparked my interest in art and music.
My work involves producing music/jingles for companies, edited videos, posters, and cover art. I am interested in exploring video game design and voice over with clients. I created a brand called Youradica, which started as an apparel brand focusing on caps and beanies and eventually turned into a mobile game. I am proud of my work on the mobile game Youradica Run!, the movie Diamond Ruff which I produced with my dad, and the music video for my song “Crazy x3” where I taught myself 3D animation.
My unique selling proposition is being a one-stop-shop for people who need creative work. I can work on a project from start to finish by myself. I approach work with an open mind and logical thinking, working efficiently to not waste anyone’s time. I strive to bring the client’s vision to life and deliver what is asked of me, providing people with materials and assets to present themselves professionally.
I am inspired by pop culture and people who excel in multiple art forms or hustle. Some of my current influences include Kanye West, Jay Z, Mr. Beast, Elon Musk, and my dad. My mission with work is creative exploration and making my work as optimized as possible. I enjoy creating tools to make less fun work smoother.
To promote myself, I produce projects for myself and experiment with new art techniques with the visuals for a song I am promoting. This often leads to people asking me to do what I did for myself for them.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The process is the most important part. Problem solving can be a headache but the learned lesson is rewarding. The idea of creating something from nothing drives the passion. I also love to see the final presentation. Getting to see your work on something like a billboard is just cool to me.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
This was a hard question so I just asked ChatGPT instead. This is what I got back.
1. Provide more funding and resources: Governments, private organizations, and individuals can contribute to providing more funding and resources to artists and creatives. This can include grants, scholarships, fellowships, and artist-in-residency programs.
2. Increase exposure: Society can support artists and creatives by promoting their work through exhibitions, performances, and other public events. This can help to increase their visibility and recognition.
3. Provide more educational opportunities: Educational institutions can provide more opportunities for aspiring artists and creatives to receive training and education in their fields.
4. Protect creative rights: Society can support creatives by protecting their intellectual property rights and ensuring that they receive fair compensation for their work.
5. Foster a supportive community: Society can also support artists and creatives by fostering a supportive community where they can connect with one another, share resources, and collaborate on projects.
