Kyle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
As a business owner yes I am very much Happy then I was just having a regular job and working for someone either do I still work for a company which is Stentorian Web but it’s phenomenal I mean I’ve always been a person who build really good and great relationships with people but this gives me an opportunity to expand and learn other businesses in industries and Bill bigger and more of a family of relationships just being a business consultant. How I can just remember just working the in and out jobs that I was just always just thinking about the day where I don’t have to compromise myself just for an hourly wage which now it’s it’s much better than have to you know be concerned if you’re going to have work or job the next day with what I do it allows me to know that my job is never never done with the amount of work that I do for my clients so I don’t even think about it anymore to where I got to this point because it’s it’s been a struggle and it’s and it is been a real fun journey and I wouldn’t trade it for the world I love what I do and that’s just the bottom line that’s just the bottom line and I wouldn’t I wouldn’t even think about it I mean my thoughts on those jobs I don’t even think about it I just say hallelujah and look for a new and and more brighter and happier clients than I’ll have now
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
The power I have to working with small businesses and medium-sized businesses is to help them grow on the digital platforms and create more exposures for their businesses as a business owner myself I understand the importance of marketing getting the word out letting people know that you have a service or product that they need to know that you exist in the online world that’s what here I love about what I do because I get to help people as far as the clients and the businesses grow expand and even dominate in certain areas and industries centurion web is a brand that you can trust knowing that the job is going to be done always making sure that your online presence is number one to you and it’s always taken care of. hi Kyle have always had a consultant background in various business journeys of I’ve had in the past so this was a great opportunity for me in 2006 to start stentorian Webb digital marketing agency to expand my skills and know how to market businesses
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The best effective strategy I’ve always had and I started is getting familiar with the local businesses in my surrounding area that helped me a lot for a Ford for this business it’s it’s like just local things places and you know areas that you been that I just always just make sure that I let a person know what I do I’m always looking at websites and on my mobile phone and different services and like say different products so I’m always just letting people know what we can do to help their business to improve if there is a need that I see so I’m always on my phone like I say the best strategy is to your local places now it’s I mean even now it’s it’s I’m expanding even bigger with that that I don’t have to just stay local because you can go on Google and Google take you anywhere around the world now and you can see these different where I can see a lot of my services is being could be used in different states other than where I reside here in Phoenix in Tempe Arizona
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I guess I had to honor is to not to leave without turning over each Rock scenario I I local I go go to local flea markets and some flea markets are I mean all the flea markets are great but I go into flea markets to see certain you know a lot of the mini businesses that’s in there looking for my services and I remember I rent or an individual where he didn’t have any of services that I provided and I was attempting to work with them but I was kind of under like an impression I will you know I didn’t know you know he was a small business and I didn’t really actually know if he really I say can afford my services however I didn’t make no big deal about it and I and I and I and I gave him a quote at the time and that was it and I didn’t see him after no longer now I was trying to follow up but when I follow what up it was he and moved out of the the little area flea market I was in so I paid it no mind I didn’t think nothing of it and maybe about a year after that I met the individual I seen a a big story it was a it was it was a bigger story wasn’t in the flea market anymore it was just an independent store that was opening up and I was wondering like all new business in it in the area so I can just maybe find out you know if they can use my services and I for like maybe about a couple of weeks I I seen the businesses it was you know it was just just getting open and it wasn’t quite open yet so I think I waited for maybe about a month or two after I seen it and at that point I walked in the business to go and talk to the person who was the owner and Lord behold it was the individual that I met at the flea market and he had expanded his operation and now he’s a a faithful client because I follow up with me and it was like we reconnected and it was like magic cuz he expanded and he needed my services more than ever so it worked out really great and I was able to find him and like I said the follow-up and the stone unturned because like I said at that time when I met him I wasn’t really actually really looking but I was looking for individual individuals but I did I wasn’t following up as much as I did with him but this was a great I guess it was great
