We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kyle Schiedemeyer a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kyle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
At Birdie Bombs, our mission is simple: Resonate with today’s golfer.
It’s not your grandpa’s game anymore! Gone are the days of hushed whispers and stuffy dress codes. Golf has evolved, and so has the way people experience it. It’s become more social, more approachable, and more about having a great time with friends.
We’re here to bring something new to the game & something that aligns with how golf is being played and enjoyed today. Birdie Bombs is more than just a product, it represents the evolving culture of the sport, and we’re excited to be at the forefront of that change.

Kyle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Kyle Schiedemeyer, the CEO and Founder of Birdie Bombs. I started this brand because I’m passionate about two things: golf and the good times that come with it. For me, golf has always been more than just a sport, it’s the camaraderie, the laughs, and those moments that stick with you long after the round is over.
I got into this business because I saw a chance to create something that truly speaks to today’s golfer. Golf has changed, it’s not about rigid traditions or trying to fit into an outdated mold anymore. It’s a lifestyle that’s fun, social, and a little bit more relaxed. Birdie Bombs fits right into that, whether you’re celebrating a birdie, shaking off a rough hole, or just kicking back with friends on the course.
What sets Birdie Bombs apart is that it’s designed specifically for golfers. It’s simple, easy, and just works with the flow of the game. We’re not trying to reinvent golf, we’re here to enhance the experience and make those great moments on the course even better.
What I’m most proud of is how Birdie Bombs has become part of people’s golf routines. Seeing golfers share it with their friends or use it to make a round more memorable is exactly why I started this. It’s not about pushing a product, it’s about being a small part of what makes the game so enjoyable for so many people.
If you’re new to Birdie Bombs, here’s what I’d say: this brand is made for golfers, by a golfer. It’s about celebrating the game, good shots, bad shots, and everything in between, and making sure the fun always stays front and center. Cheers!

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I bootstrapped Birdie Bombs from the ground up, funding it entirely myself. It wasn’t easy, but I believed in the idea enough to put my own money and resources on the line. There were no investors or big loans, just a lot of grinding, long nights, and smart budgeting.
At times, I was putting my rent on a credit card to make it work because I wanted to maintain control and build something I could truly stand behind. It’s been a challenge, but starting this way taught me how to stay scrappy, prioritize what’s important, and value every bit of progress we’ve made.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
While social media is a great tool and definitely helps build awareness, what I’ve found really resonates is getting out into the community. Doing pop-up events, samplings, and meeting people face-to-face has been the most effective strategy for growing Birdie Bombs.
There’s something about connecting with people in person that gives them a real glimpse into what Birdie Bombs is all about. It’s not just about selling a product, it’s about sharing the energy and authenticity behind the brand. When someone gets to experience it firsthand, it creates a connection that sticks. That’s what drives real growth.
