We were lucky to catch up with Kyle Kirshner recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kyle , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you as a business owner?
I was pretty lucky from how I ran into my success as a seven figure amazon seller. When I was 15 years old I got my first job at a local warehouse in orange county california where I grew up. While working for that job I had no idea until I started to get trained that I was actually working for a company that did 20 million. a year in sales on amazon with their own private label electronics brand. I was so intrigued , I had no idea that the stuff that I bought on AMAZON came from actual people / small businesses and not AMAZON itself. I ended up working for this company for 5 years, learned the ins and outs of their whole company from learning every department. Fast forward five years I quit and started my very own brand in the outdoor niche on amazon. Now my brand brings in seven figures, I work only 5 hours a week at the young age of 27 and im teaching others how to find financial freedom through creating a passive income opportunity on amazon.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was a troubled kid, always playing with the law, but I was always passionate about a good work ethic, I learned that at a young age from my entrepreneur grandfather. At a young age I ran into Amazon, I was not expecting to learn from a successful amazon private label brand and falling in love with it. My grandfather before he passed gave me my first small investment on amazon that now has turned into a full flurishing seven figure brand.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In business the most successful business owners are good at pivoting, Iv had to pivot many times In business, for one COVID. Covid was a big hit for most businesses however for amazon related buinesses it THRIVED. However thats not always a good thing when you cant get product from your manufacturers overseas in china because china closed there trade and ports. But how did I succeed and pivot through that? I found manufacturers in other countries and moved some of my business to india.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Business doesnt always turn out the way you want it, trust me I know. When I first started selling on amazon my first product absolutely flopped it failed, I was way to excited I didnt do my due dilligence like I was taught and I failed. However I came back swinging and never looked back.
