Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyle Gilmore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Kyle , thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
The biggest professional risk I’ve taken was transitioning from my landscaping career to becoming a full-time realtor. Coming from a blue-collar background, the idea of leaving a guaranteed paycheck was scary. But I found that taking this step towards my purpose was the best decision I ever made. I’ve been raised to believe that if you don’t show up and clock in to your job you’re not getting paid. Taking a job where I’m putting all my bets on myself is a big risk, especially entering a world I knew so little about. I’ve felt comfortable in this decision because of 3 major things. 1 I was burnt out of my labor-intensive job landscaping. I loved the work, but ultimately, I was always more interested in finance, global economics, and politics. Any time I wasn’t speaking to a coworker, I was listening to a podcast about current events or business development. I wasn’t being pushed mentally. Second, I was able to see the landscape of what my life would be like if I continued landscaping. I wanted more for myself, my interests were not there. I had no desire to lose all the enjoyment I got from being outside most of the day. Lastly, I had the support of my partner and family. They were the ultimate piece that pushed me to walk in my path. I’m proud of taking the risk because truthfully, I haven’t looked back since. I get much more fulfillment helping a family build toward generational wealth than I ever could through cultivating a garden
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For me, real estate isn’t just about transactions; it’s about transformations. It’s about witnessing the profound impact a home can have on a family’s life, a lesson I learned firsthand growing up. Voming from our community the value of homeownership was a secret not to be shared. I was lucky enough to have a grandfather who knew this value and passed it on to his children. My parents purchased their home from him and, after his passing, inherited two other properties. Unfortunately, without proper guidance, they lacked the knowledge of the true value of these gifts. This sparked a passion to provide the guidance that they weren’t afforded. As a dual-licensed Real Estate Agent and Lending Officer (NMLS #2586733), I offer a unique, comprehensive approach to real estate transactions. This dual expertise, held by only 2% of Colorado agents, allows me to guide clients seamlessly through both the buying/selling and financing processes. Their experience led me to develop my core philosophy: ‘Giving More.’ It’s the driving force behind everything I do, ensuring my clients receive unparalleled support and achieve their real estate goals & dreams. Giving More means unwavering communication, from initial consultation to long after the closing. Giving More means providing in-depth knowledge to empower informed decisions. Giving more means attention to detail, and a dedication to meeting all of your needs. Giving More means relentless effort, determination, passion, honesty, and creativity to secure the best possible outcomes.
I believe in building genuine relationships and understanding each client’s unique needs. I’m not just selling houses; I’m helping people build their futures. It’s not just a slogan; it’s the foundation of my business. I go above and beyond to ensure my clients feel confident and supported.
I remove the stress and uncertainty from the real estate process. I simplify complex transactions, provide expert guidance, and advocate for my clients’ best interests every step of the way.I’m most proud of the positive impact I have on my clients’ lives. Helping them achieve their homeownership dreams is incredibly rewarding. With my dual expertise and ‘Giving More’ philosophy, you can trust that you’re in capable hands.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
So far the best source of clients for me has been my sphere. I lean on the people around me. and with everything when you do good business and take care of people your people also take care of you. I’ve closed multiple deals through referrals of people in my sphere.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Im ashamed to say I haven’t read the book yet, but Simon Sineks Start With Why. I’ve listened to a few of his interviews and felt that this message resonates with me so much. Your Why, is the reason you work every day it’s not only your fuel, but it’s also your connection to everyone you meet. If your why is strong enough everything else will sort itself out for you.
