We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kyle Credle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kyle, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The mission is to create and have our positive music in the mainstream in hopes to change the culture which is inspired by a lot of violence. We want to normalize positive, inspirational and uplifting music in our own sonic way.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Credle Entertainment is our record label owned by my sister, Darria Credle and I. We are music artist that tour, sale records/merchandise and develop young emerging artist. We offer music business consultations, digital marketing services, songwriting, vocal arrangements and live performance opportunities.
I’m proud that we are able to provide opportunities to help artist grow as musicians, songwriters, brands, businessmen, businesswomen and most importantly as a citizen of this society. We It’s been amazing to see their streaming numbers, video views and following increase but our artist see the bigger picture and truly want to impact the world and leave a legacy. I’m proud to see my sister, Darria aka “MoonSky” not only grow as an artist but as a business partner to help us navigate the careers of our artist. It’s amazing that my sister and I went from two artist that labels passed on, to building up our own label to partner with major labels and other companies to not only further our careers but our artist as well. It’s truly a blessing but what I am most proud of is being able to give back to our community. When we’re curating events we are always looking to incorporate businesses of our community whether it’s vendors, performers, caters, promoters, videographers and photographers. We are able to provide opportunities for the youth and create jobs for our community. young adults as interns to learn and be involved within the music industry. We’re able to provide music and film business workshops for creatives. Being able to educate and help guide the people of our community achieve their goals is our biggest accomplishment.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Credle Entertainment which is named after my family name was inspired from being overlooked by major label companies. We decided that we wanted to control our creativity as artist as well as our careers.
Have you ever had to pivot?
A time we had to pivot was when the pandemic happened. There were no more in-person live shows, networking events and we had to find a way to stay relevant and active. We ended up creating a few different live show talk shows and our label had a ton of content in the vault that we finally released to keep people entertained during the lockdown.
