Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyle Benjammin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kyle , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful projects are the ones I’m working on currently. I am currently working on 2 projects, One is a concept album about two bootleggers from the 1920’s/30’s era. I chose to do this concept because I as a Utah native who lives in Ogden want to show light on our Bootlegging past. As many Ogden natives know, the city was infamous for using tunnels to transport alcohol and even being so crazy it scared the infamous “Al Capone.” My second project is a concept album based on the struggles of a up and coming artist who is battling his inner demons, I draw a lot of inspiration from my personal life that I feel a lot of people can relate to.

Kyle , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those who are unfamiliar with me and my music. I’ve been rapping for over 10 years perfecting my craft. One thing that I pride myself on is that I’ve been able to tour the country as an independent artist multiple times and have played festivals to large crowds. For new listeners I would like you to know that a lot of my music is based on my own personal struggles that I’ve overcame and also those that I currently deal with. As a fan I always was more drawn to the artists who talk about their struggles because I can draw similarities to my life and their music which is Cathartic. So not only is it therapeutic for me to write those songs but also if it can help my listeners know that they’re not alone that’s my main goal.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
As a listener the best way you can help any artist is to simply listen and share your favorite music with your friends and family.
When your favorite artist comes to town go see them live! It’s crazy to me how many people I’ve met who haven’t even been to a concert in general. As an avid concert goer there really isn’t anything better then seeing someone who you listen to daily perform those songs live and put on a show!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Honestly the most rewarding thing about being an artist or a creative is seeing an idea that was initially in your mind come to life. Everything that is around you once started as an idea in somebodies brain. Even if your not an “Artist” or “creative” I heavily encourage the reader to envision an idea of something that your passionate about in your mind and work on making it a reality. The feeling of it being accomplished is a feeling you got to have at least once in your life!
