We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kyerra Crawford a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kyerra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
“Letters from a Left Handed Girl” was born out of a healing season in my life — a period where I was trying to understand myself beyond survival, beyond relationships, and beyond what the world expected from me. Writing became my way of breathing through pain and rediscovering purpose. Each “letter” started as something personal — journal entries, prayers, reflections — but over time I realized they were also messages for other women like me who were learning how to reclaim their power and rewrite their stories.
The more I wrote, the more people connected. They’d message me saying, “That’s exactly how I feel,” or “This helped me see myself differently.” That’s when I knew this was bigger than just a book — it was a movement of emotional honesty, spiritual growth, and feminine healing.
The podcast came next. I wanted a space where I could speak freely — about love, healing, spirituality, boundaries, motherhood, and purpose — in my own tone, without editing out the truth. The podcast gave voice to the same energy behind the books, but in real time. It’s where “Letters from a Left Handed Girl” became a conversation, not just a message.
And as my personal healing deepened, I began crafting jewelry — especially with crystals — as physical extensions of that same intention. The crystal pieces I make aren’t just accessories; they’re energy tools meant to remind the wearer of balance, beauty, and spiritual protection. I wanted people to wear their healing — to literally carry their affirmations and lessons with them.
What makes my brand unique is the way it weaves art, storytelling, and spirituality together. The books feed the mind, the podcast feeds the soul, and the jewelry anchors that energy into the physical world. It’s all connected — a reflection of how healing, expression, and creation can coexist.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
About Me and My Brand
My name is Kyerra Crawford, and I’m a writer, creative entrepreneur, and spiritual wellness advocate. I’m the founder of Letters from a Left Handed Girl — a book series and podcast dedicated to exploring emotional healing, self-awareness, spirituality, and the complex beauty of womanhood. I’m also the creator of a handcrafted crystal jewelry line that merges energy work, style, and intention.
My journey into this work started from my own process of healing. Writing was my first language of expression — it was how I processed heartbreak, trauma, and transformation. I never set out to build a brand at first; I was just trying to make sense of my emotions and find peace within myself. Over time, those personal letters evolved into Letters from a Left Handed Girl — a space where raw honesty meets spiritual insight. What began as private reflections became a book series that now helps others find meaning in their own healing journeys.
As my audience grew, I realized people didn’t just connect to the words — they connected to the energy behind them. That’s when I launched the Letters from a Left Handed Girl Podcast, where I talk openly about love, boundaries, transformation, and the spiritual lessons behind everyday life. The podcast is where my readers get to hear my voice, feel my energy, and walk with me through real-time evolution.
My crystal jewelry line came as a natural extension of that work. Each piece I create carries intentional energy — love, protection, grounding, confidence — so people can physically wear reminders of their growth and power. My jewelry is handmade, deeply personal, and inspired by the same spirit that runs through my writing: healing through beauty and energy.
What sets me apart is how I blend storytelling, spirituality, and style into one experience. I don’t just sell products or share affirmations — I create spaces for reflection and transformation. My work speaks to those who are tired of pretending, who crave authenticity, and who are ready to heal in ways that feel grounded, creative, and real.
I’m most proud of how Letters from a Left Handed Girl has evolved into a multi-dimensional brand that still stays rooted in truth. Every message, product, and conversation is designed to help people reconnect with themselves and remember their power.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my brand, it’s this: everything I create comes from lived experience and genuine intention. My books are honest, my podcast is real, and my jewelry carries prayers in its design. My mission is to help others see that healing can be both sacred and stylish — that you can rebuild yourself and still shine beautifully while doing it.

How did you build your audience on social media?
How I Built My Social Media Audience
About three and a half to four years ago, I decided to take a real leap with my purpose. I had written my first book, Affirmations for Beginners, when I was around 18 or 19 years old, right after having my first son. At that time, I wanted to create something simple and surface-level — something positive but not too deep — because I was still figuring out who I was both religiously and culturally. I didn’t have all the answers yet, so I just started with what I knew: affirmations.
As I grew older and started diving deeper into spirituality, I began studying metaphysics at the University of Sedona in Arizona. That experience completely shifted my understanding of healing and energy. I also started working toward becoming a certified holistic health practitioner, and that’s when I really began to grasp the meaning of the word holistic — healing the mind, body, and spirit as one. I realized healing isn’t just in the herbs or the body work — it’s in the words we speak, the prayers we say, and the energy we carry.
Back then, I was only using Facebook and connecting mostly with people from my hometown. But I noticed that wasn’t helping me grow or reach the kind of audience that resonated with my message. Honestly, I used to think TikTok was just for kids — until someone told me it might actually be the perfect platform for me to share my work. So I gave it a chance.
Once I started posting consistently on TikTok, everything shifted. My audience began growing organically — people who had never met me before were connecting deeply with my content. Between all platforms, I now have around 5,000 to 6,000 followers, with TikTok being my biggest platform. What’s even more special is that the connections I’ve built there have led to real opportunities — including being recommended by followers for magazine interviews like this one.
What I learned through that process is that you have to stop worrying about who’s watching, especially the people who knew you “before.” In the beginning, it felt awkward seeing familiar faces from my city come across my For You Page, but I had to remind myself: this isn’t for them. You have to focus on who your message is truly meant for and keep showing up anyway.
That mindset — showing up for purpose, not popularity — is what built my audience. I stopped playing small, stopped second-guessing, and started trusting that the right people would find me. And they did.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What really helped me build my reputation was using my own healing journey as a stage, not in a performative way, but in a relatable and transparent one. I chose to show up as I was, in real time, and that authenticity created trust. People began to see me as a neutral, grounding energy, someone who offers an open space for healing without judgment or pressure. Just real, honest growth.
