We were lucky to catch up with Kutbaby Ceo recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kutbaby, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

ALWAYS HAVE GOD 1ST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THERES ONLY ONE GOD, THOSE OUR MY BELIEFS AND IM STICKING TO IT, THERES NO REAL WAY TO EXPLAIN WHAT I THINK IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL, BUT ILL GIVE A FEW POINTERS WITHIN THE CONVO, OR MOST SO A FEW WORDS IN BETWEEN AS WELL. “CONSISTENCY” YOU GOTTA BE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, NO MATTER WHAT CAREER, YOU GOTTA BE DEDICATED, YOU GOTTA LOVE WHAT YOU DO. NEVER BE AFRAID OF TAKING RISKS, NEVER BE AFRAID OF LOSING NEITHER, BUT NEVER STAY DOWN, ALWAYS GET BACK UP AND KEEP FIGHTING FOR THE BETTER AND FOR WHAT YOU LOVE. YOU GOTTA HAVE THE RIGHT PPL IN YOUR CORNER, REMOVE ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY THATS GIVING YOU ANY BAD VIBES OR BAD ENERGY, SNIP SNIP AWAY YA FEEL ME, ITS NOT WORTH YOUR PEACE OR YOUR ENENGY OR YOUR SPIRIT AS WELL, JUST KEEP IT PUSHING NO MATTER WHAT.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

LOOK INTO YOUR “HEARTZ”, ALL YOU SEE IS “EYEZ”. Never give up, never slow down, always remain strong and positive. The story behind it is so dope, but lets get to it. My best friend “Rikcrack” called me or text me one day but I don’t remember what time or what day was it but I remember that day changed my life for real and forever, but before that I was promoting Nustreet Money Entertainment my management company at the time and still is, and that was the merch ppl would ask for. I would wear it to every other show because I’m an artist at heart to be honest. But I wanted a lot more and not just merch or just an urban clothing line ya feel me. I wanted to make something simple but unique ya feel me, if you look at the Walmart logo, Publix, Target, H&M, Ysl, Gucci, Fendi, Chevy, just to name a few, all of their logos are very simple and I love simplicity, I love it! But back to my friend calling and telling me about an app I can use to make logos and it was free and pretty as well too, I was like I’ll check it out, little do I know it was going to be something major and huge at the time, so I created it and then I sent to my friend Rik, and he told me that shxt is going to be worldwide and international one day when I heard that it inspired me even more so I started doing research on fabrics and websites that can produce what I need and I couldn’t find anything and I was asking around and nobody was really giving me any info so I kept searching and searching and finally I found a dope ass company who made some dope ass shirts and sneakers I was so excited and then I start wearing it and sending it out to few ppl to test out the products and they loved it but before all of that, I posted my logo to test it out as well and they loved it. How I got into the clothing industry, the music, the film, industry, and this my honest opinion for real for real, my mom and one of my friends and her name is Asia and she always told me to “BE YOURSELF, LOVE YOURSELF, SELF LOVE, SELF MOTIVATION, SELF DEDICATION, ALWAYS PRAY NO MATTER WHAT, WHATEVER YOU BELIEVE IN STICK TO IT. HeartzAndEyez is a brand full of love, great energy, positivity, great vibes, good people, bright colors, a lot of patterns as well, I love patterns and bright colors, we are very humble, we are very driven. We have all types of products, from sneakers, hoodies, crew necks, bikinis, one piece, dad hats, book bags, duffle bags, drink ware 20oz, bucket hats, sweat sets, and also are BALACLAVA MASKS ARE COMING SOON AND THEY ARE EXCLUSIVES and etc etc. We want to provide as much as we can for our “FAMILY” and we don’t call them fans or customers or clients neither and we are FAMILY” and we wanna build and we will continue to grow and grow as a unit together.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I’m a be completely honest with y’all, that comes from my mother and nobody else, I watched my mom raised me and my siblings by herself, she never complained, she never said she was tired, she kept going, she kept moving, she never stopped, never ya feel me. She will forever be my motivator, she inspired me in so many ways, I can’t even explain it at all. My dad taught me so much and I only really known him for only three years and then passed away and maybe a decade after that my mom passed away as well, I don’t have any pics of my father only in memories ya feel me. Both of them are gone and thats what drives me the most and thats why I go so hard the way I do but I need to go even harder now as we speak. Thats why I’m so passionate about, thats why I want it so bad, The Legacy Is Everything to me, so when I die my son and his children children can be set straight forever and never have to worry about nothing at all. #RICHPPLDNTSLEEP.

How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.

We actually still selling through word of mouth ya feel me, our website is up but theres nothing to sell well actual we have a black and white duffle bag for sell. But as of right now we are still building the site as we speak. And to be honest when it comes to those distribution companies, it depends what works for you and if it works go for it and keep getting to it and that I mean is the money.
