Krystle, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
I create all of my products from a place of love My products are very colorful and consumers to look at my products out of curiosity. As an advocate for self-care practices, I intentionally create all of my products for the well being and aesthetics of my consumers. My products are plant based and are designed to create a relaxing experienced as well as leaving you moisturized

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Sage and Elm Apothecary was born by combining mental health and self-care into a product. At first, soap making was a hobby and I did it for fun. It wasn’t until I lost my little brother to addiction that I found peace and healing in making the soap. It was very therapeutic to me. I wanted other people to feel that peace. I feel like the products give people a moment to think about themselves , their desires, and choices that they make. I work to create a vegan option for the skin, well being and your personal space. Sage and Elm Apothecary products aim to hydrate and soothe skin and aid in support from plants. I create vegan products by hand from local and community sourced partners. I bring my distinct culture and heritage to creating products that align with mental health and wellness.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

At Sage & Elm, I consistently elevate the brand through our ingredients and aesthetics. We continuously promote professionalism and personally connecting with our customers.

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
In 2018,I wanted to do my very first large trade show. I remember selling things around my house just to pay the vendor’s fee. The show lasted for three days. By the end of day one, I earned more than four times the initial vendor’s fee that it had cost to attend to be a vendor. By the end of day two, I had to come home and make more products. People were buying my products then a few minutes later some of their friends would come by and buy some because they loved it. I was in awe about how quickly the news about my products had traveled throughout the show. Needlessly to say, by the end of day three I had complete satisfaction about the trade show and my products. I felt honored and grateful to my customers for all of the support that was shown to me on that weekend.
