We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Krystal Wagner. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Krystal below.
Hi Krystal , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Taking a risk was the hardest decision I ever had to make when it comes to my day to day life. I took this major risk when deciding on stepping out on faith to start my own hair business and no longer working for my employer. The reason why I call it a risk is because, despite knowing if my choice would actually be successful the way I wanted it to be, I did it anyway. I had no clue on how to start. I had no clients to even consider starting with. I knew what I wanted and I shortly learned the sacrifices it took to get there. 5 years later, i am standing strong with the same business I had no clue on how to start. Started with 1 client and now I have enough clients to not have to work for any employer.

Krystal , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I take pride in hair growth and the care of natural hair of all types. I do color services and so much more.
When sitting in my chair, I like to make my customer feel as if I boosted the feeling for them and also fixed their crown( hair) with my hair services.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Over the course of years of doing my business, one main lesson I learned is that everybody you come in contact with does not always have good intentions. Every single client that you come in contact with will not be your lifelong client. You have to be ok with that.
I’ve had individuals book services with intentions of seeing my way of doing things just to turn around and do the services i I do with intentions of taking my clients.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an ideal audience for your work is not as simple as it seems. Making yourself stand out compared to others that do the same thing as you is the key to building your audience. Personally I olé you engage with all of my followers is ways that I can receive feedback , constructive criticism, and the wants of your audience.
