We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Krysta Jones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Krysta below.
Krysta, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Yes sometimes as a business owner the grass seems greener for a 9 to 5 er that gets a steady pay check and can live a traditional life. Being in the Cannabis Space you are limited to access to regular things such as housing and lending and has even been hard to do taxes with the amount of turnover in the Cannabia industry with in businesses.
Krysta, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have worked in the Commercial Cannabis space for the last 15 years in multiple markets across the Nation. I have created a vetted network that I can menuver with to grow my brand authentically and organically, so we are able to do that for our clients as well. I partner with Sanja Ganja to execute projects in and out of the Cannabis Space. More recently we have been working with more traditional businesses.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I met Sanja Ganja in denver Bout 2 years in to the THC Girls. She was grinding all over Denver and I could notice her hustle. We slowly started taping in to eachothers events and working on nightlife projects at first meanwhile we were both building out career in the indsutry in other ways, her in the retail and me in the cultivation. In the end of 2017 I was recruited to Oregon for a huge start up project where I directed the Cultivation and by the time the product was finally ready I was able to recruited Sanja to be the Director of Marketing for the same company. We positioned that brand to take of 10 % of the market in some of the toughest times. Since then we have been advising and consulting with clients across the map together through the THC Girls brand.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to quickly unlearn jumping in to Cannabis and becoming a business owner is to not be afraid. Do not play it safe. Be confident in your Self. Make smart decisions, but you cannot play it safe. You won’t get anywhere.
