We recently connected with Krys Speaks and have shared our conversation below.
Krys, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Often, I tell people that Linking All Women is the story of my life. Since I can remember, I’ve been unofficially interviewing women since my younger years while growing up. Rather they were connected to me by family or community, I would often ask or discover through conversation how they’ve navigated their careers, home life, and beyond. It was my curiosity, thirst for knowledge, and desire to excel in life that had prompted me to ask various questions. These women stories became my learning pad for which I would often use as a point of reference in my decision-making, and life experiences as I personally evolved in womanhood. So in 2015, then in my late 20’s when the idea came to me to launch a platform called Linking All Women, it made all the sense that I would choose to create a News & Media platform focused on the empowerment and wellness of women from generation to generation. This was an idea born from my own personal observations and life experience coupled with my professional history as a degree holder in Communications. In the development stages, I never considered what problem I would be solving with Linking All Women, but it was more so of what opportunity and space I would be opening up for women of all ages and backgrounds to share their stories openly to inspire, and encourage others to lead meaningful and impactful lives.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a proud African American businesswoman who believes knowledge is power, and continuous personal development helps one to love, and live their best lives. Beyond the Linking All Women media platform that I own and operate, I take joy in helping Women & Girls develop personally through the Personal Development Course I teach. I truly believe when we are well, our homes, families, and the world are better and more loving because of it.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Linking All Women has a subscription list that is thankfully continuously growing. I connect with “linkers” which is what we call our followers/supporters who engage with the brand via social media and more directly by email/newsletters.
