Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Krisztina Paskuly. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Krisztina, thanks for joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
I had a particular interest in wellness and nutrition from early on in my teens, thanks to growing up in health conscious family, but it was when I was diagnosed with Lyme disease when I took my interest to another level and started educating myself every way possible about the impact of food and lifestyle on ones health. I spent many years studying and trying out different diets, philosophies, and various biohacks with the help of a medical professional to find the best way of living and eating to keep my chronic condition dormant. Thru out my years of research and eduction, I learned, that with the right lifestyle, it is possible to treat or prevent most medical conditions without prescription medication.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
With social media, having such a huge impact on peoples lives nowadays, we are bombarded with controversial advice from people who are less than qualified left and right. There are so many people out there, who are taking advantage of people searching for better health, or finally finding that “perfect diet” that will result in permanent weight loss. The problem with most of these programs that they are designed as a “one size fits all” which is why it doesn’t work for most. I pride myself on customizing my lifestyle and nutrition, coaching programs for each individual to best suit their needs, lifestyle and ultimate goals. When people are looking for a permanent change their life, let it be getting healthier or achieving their ideal body composition, the only way to be successful on long-term, is if the road to get there is designed for each individual. Because of that reason, I don’t work with templates, softwares, or any other AI gimmicks, but take the old-school approach and listen to everyone’s story and design their programs 100% customized and personalized, so they can maintain the changes they have made for themselves for the rest of their lives. So, for example, instead of telling them what to eat, I teach them how to eat so they will be able to use the knowledge given to them in any situation at any time.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
In the field of nutrition and wellness, the most important thing I’ve learned, is that even though we are all made up of the same DNA, we are all so very different. Each of my clients have different needs, preferences, and abilities, and each of them represent a different challenge to me, each day to get to their ultimate goals. I could honestly say that I have learned something new along the way, from each and every one of them..
Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
I have a BA in Photography and Liberal Arts, and it will always have a special place in my heart. I worked in my field for many years and And was lucky enough to learn from some of the best, but it was not until I Started taking my passion for health and wellness to a professional level that I found my true calling. With that my profession become a hobby, and my hobby become my profession. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I went from people rolling their eyes: “Here we go again, another nutrition tip from Krisztina…” to people, paying me to advise and teach them about food, nutrition and lifestyle.
