Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kristine Wang. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Kristine, thanks for joining us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?

After setting up my Instagram as my portfolio, I just started reaching out through DM’s. Unfortunately, I didn’t know what I was doing so I ended up shooting at the barn 2 hours away and was almost not paid! Lessons were learned and I was still very excited to have done a photo shoot. It was good practice.

Kristine, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I have been professionally modeling for four years now, as well as commercial acting! Since Covid, I started doing more content creating and now I do UGCs as well! I’m very proud of the work I have been able to accomplish and the people that I have been able to work with!

How did you build your audience on social media?

I’d say just be genuine and post photos for yourself and the people that enjoy your content will come! Make sure your content is niche enough, and that the quality is good.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I started in Austin Texas with a few agencies. After working in that market for about 2 years, I wanted to move somewhere with more opportunity! So in the midst of Covid, I packed up all my stuff and moved to Los Angeles! It helped because a Dallas agency had a sister branch in LA. After meeting the team and being developed in LA, the connections I made helped me launch my career!
