We were lucky to catch up with Kristina Oganezz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kristina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I created a new art concept “Preaching Exhibition” seamlessly blends visual art with the impact of spoken word, crafting a deeply engaging multisensory experience for audiences. This blend of oration and visual representation showcases adaptability as an artist and dedication to expanding the traditional definitions of art.
In Armenian culture, the significance of “bird letters” is profound and deeply rooted. The art of Armenian bird letters and its cultural expressions were recognized and inscribed in 2019 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In the wake of this acknowledgment, I created “bird-numbers”. Creation of “bird-numbers” stands out as a remarkable contribution and enrichment to this heritage. By marrying ornithological imagery with numerical representations, I carved out a unique space within the art community, offering a fresh perspective and approach.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a dedicated artist with a passion for creating evocative and thought-provoking paintings, art installations. My journey into the world of art began at a young age when I discovered the joy of expressing myself through colors and shapes. Over the years, this passion evolved into a lifelong commitment to exploring the depths of human emotion and experience through my work.
I am creating paintings that capture the essence of emotions, often using vivid, bold colors and dynamic compositions. My work includes a variety of themes: portraits, fine art, art installations…
My art works are not just about aesthetics; they aim to evoke a sense of connection and introspection in the viewer. Each piece is crafted with the intention of sparking conversations and inspiring personal reflection. I believe art has the power to heal, provoke thought, and bring people together, and this belief drives every stroke of my brush.
What sets me apart in the art world is my unique approach to capturing the essence of my subjects. I strive to go beyond the surface, delving into the emotional and psychological layers that make each subject unique. This depth is often reflected in the spiritual topics, rich textures and intricate details that characterize my work.
My work is more than just visual art; it is an experience. When you engage with my paintings, you are not just seeing an image but entering a dialogue that transcends words. My commitment is to create art that resonates on a deep, personal level, and I am constantly inspired by the connections and insights my work fosters in others.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I am excited by NFTs’ potential but approach them cautiously, considering both their opportunities and challenges. I aim to stay informed, explore eco-friendly options, and ensure my engagement aligns with my artistic values and commitment to meaningful art.
In summary, NFTs represent a significant shift in the art world, and it’s essential to balance enthusiasm with caution.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media has been a rewarding journey that required consistency, authenticity, and a deep understanding of my audience. I started by sharing my work regularly on platforms like Instagram, where visual content thrives. Initially, it was about showcasing my latest paintings and behind-the-scenes glimpses of my creative process.
I realized early on that engagement is key, so I made it a point to respond to comments, messages, and even engage with other artists’ content. This not only helped build a community but also allowed me to learn and grow through interactions with fellow artists and art enthusiasts.
Collaborations played a significant role in expanding my reach. Partnering with other artists, participating in online art challenges, and even collaborating with brands helped me tap into new audiences. I also leveraged hashtags strategically to ensure my work reached people interested in specific art styles or themes.
As my following grew, I started to share more about my artistic journey, my inspirations, and personal stories behind my artworks. This helped create a deeper connection with my audience, making my social media presence more relatable and engaging.
