Kristina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

As a creative business owner I will say – Stay focused and consistent on your dream! No matter how tired you get, how many idea’s you come up that need time to work on, just stay on it and do not give up even when challenges arise. You have to be the one who believes in you, and it helps when others do but your thoughts and dedication are the most important factors in your success-specially when you just start building your business. I feel that you also want to care about your clients genuinely, communicate well and make sure that clients are comfortable with you, that you can voice your ideas in a way that not very creative clients can understand. Just be brave and know that after a year or so you will be recognized, will have a nice clients base so it will get easier. Easier because you will have a great reputation and know all of the aspects of your business, you will know the techniques that work the best, suppliers that you can trust and very important-you will have recommendations and a big gallery of an amazing work to show the world!

My name is Kristina and I am a creator or magic – magic in a form of balloon decor and art! My goal is to elevate, elevate the event athmosphere but the most important- to elevate the reason why my clients are celebrating! So it can be a wedding, a bridal shower,baby shower etc but it’s about your biggest moments of life! I want those celebrations to be memorable and make you feel exceptionally special! My art stands out because if complexity of it. It is trendy balloon art that everyone like to brag about, I do the hard work and you get to enjoy the compliments. I make it easy and enjoyable because my clients share their ideas and inspirations and I bring them to reality. What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

My clients happy faces, tears of joy are what keep me creating! I get to express myself and share my talent, touch my clients hearts by creating something incredibly personal to them, or something trendy and fun! I am a part of an amazing Michiana community, so proud to say that my business grew because of word of mouth. I never invested a lot of funds into advertising, a website or other ways of spreading the word about what I do. It was all my clients support by recommendations. I believe that all of us creators should celebrate each other’s talents and support each other so I am so honored to work with other amazing women business owners and artists! We collaborate and talk about each other! Local community is the most important one to me, I love getting to know my clients and I appreciate new opportunities and challenges that help me grow. I am incredibly grateful for social media platforms liek Facebook and Instagram, they help me share the work I do and I myself am very inspired by other artists work! Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Being in the business for 5 years I now know that resilience is one of the main factors or my success. I started my business, well or my business started itself by accident. How? Well I was very passionate about events and was always looking for ways to elevate, impress, make it unforgettable-so my daughters birthday parties led to friends kids birthday parties, than to their family and friends celebrations and so on. I was having fun, enjoying the fact that I can bring all of my ideas to life while my business was being born. I followed my passion, I used my talents and I followed the joy that it gave me, never the money that was able to earn. I don’t think that my prices were set right at that time because I was just not focusing on profits, and I don’t today. I learned to be fair to myself and my clients when I set cost for my services but my the main reason of my drive is that I get to be a part of something bigger! I meet amazing people, work with organizations that inspire me. I had to really try hard to stay in my business because I had to learn how to manage business load with corporate job load. Challenges always arise and to be a single mom who is working 2 full time jobs is very hard but my creative business and my daughter are true lights of my life that are worth working hard for. I feel that my personal life situation and the fact that I am in financial world and creative business made me learn how to be smart with time management, financially and I learned how much I can achieve if I just don’t give up! As of right now I am so confident and am more grateful than even, because when it was so hard I worked even harder and this dedication created balance in my life. Looking back, those 5 years back when I started, I really didn’t know how impacting my dedication will be, I stayed strong and now i can share my story that can hopefully inspire others. And I am not done yet, the biggest growth didn’t happen yet and bigger things for me are on the horizon.
