Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kristina Bethea, Founder & Forex Trader. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kristina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
When I decided to go full on entrepreneur back in 2019/2020 was the real risk. I had took the risk back in 2017 but was too dependent on the 9-5. When the opportunity presented itself, I took the leap and found ways to monetize my skill set and be a value to others.
I am a forex trader & educator, web developer, and have a clothing line. Juggling these three definitely keeps me busy and I am always trying to find ways daily to improve for growth.
When I was younger I knew I wanted to work for myself just the timing wasn’t right at the time. Being an entrepreneur allows you to experience and try new things that you wouldn’t have thought was possible.
Clients help drive businesses and appreciate the ones that I have, had, and the future ones that I will have.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Kristina Bethea, and I also go by KB, or ‘twin.’
Yes, I am a twin!
I’ve always been creative since I can remember at 6 years old, but didn’t know exactly how those skills would pan out years later. I knew I wanted to have my own clothing line as I would draw my signature and scribble designs on t-shirts. My clothing line is called bésik (basic). It’s a custom brand that empowers people to achieve greatness through simplicity.
I also provide development services such as websites, mobile apps, SEO, business logos, website maintenance, trademarks and business patents. I’ve been in the development space for over 15 years helping business achieve their goals.
Lastly, I teach people different strategies to learn how to profit in the foreign exchange market through mentorship. The forex market is the largest financial market in the world trading $6 trillion a day.
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I sell on my website at besik.co with various Shopify integrations.
I recommended Shopify as it is super affordable e-commerce platform if you’re looking to sell products online. They have awesome plugins, shipping features, and manufacturers to where your business can run 360 without you being present.
You can also choose to be present if you’re not going the drop shipping route and make the ordering process easy for customers and potential ones.

How did you build your audience on social media?
As the audience is still being built on social media, what has been helping for growth is posting content, story posts, hashtags, doing giveaways, having other people mention the brand, running ads, and engaging with other accounts. I typically try to post about 1-2 stories a day to keep the page alive and active. Never really been ad avid poster, so finding things what works is key and also trying new tactics to increase engagement.
For advice, definitely recommend to do a little research about the audience you want to target and test your reach and engagement through ads. Being authentic is key to business growth; we’re all human so finding ways to provide top-notch customer service is vital.
