Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kristin Vittorini. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kristin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Blushing Gypsy Events really grew out of years of experience in the wedding industry and a desire to create something that truly reflected my personality and passions. Early in my career, I worked for an all-inclusive wedding company where I had the opportunity to learn every aspect of the industry. I was immersed in everything from planning and coordination to design, rentals, timelines, vendor management, and the behind-the-scenes logistics that make weddings run smoothly. Those years were incredibly valuable because I was able to see firsthand what works well, what couples truly need, and where there were gaps in the experience.
As time went on, I realized that while I loved the wedding industry, I didn’t necessarily love every single part of it. What I did love was the creativity, the design, the storytelling behind each couple’s day, and the ability to take someone’s vision and turn it into something real. I also loved the relationships that form during the process — getting to know couples and helping them create a day that feels uniquely theirs.
When I decided to start my own company, I was very intentional about building a business around the parts of the industry that truly inspired me. I kept the pieces I was passionate about — event design, coordination, décor rentals, and creating beautiful experiences — and I left behind the parts that didn’t align with my strengths or bring me joy. I wanted a company that felt authentic, creative, and flexible.
The name was actually one of the first things that came to me. “Blushing” was inspired by the phrase “blushing bride,” which has always felt timeless and romantic to me. “Gypsy” reflects my love for travel, adventure, and the idea of not being tied to one place. I’ve always loved exploring new locations, venues, and landscapes, and I wanted my business to reflect that sense of movement and creativity.
In many ways, the name captured the spirit of what I wanted the company to be — romantic, a little adventurous, and centered around celebrating love in beautiful places.
Interestingly, the name itself has become part of the brand’s identity. I’ve had many clients tell me that they initially clicked on my business or remembered me simply because the name stood out to them. It’s unique, memorable, and it sparks curiosity, which has helped open the door to many conversations and bookings over the years.
At its core, Blushing Gypsy Events is about creating meaningful, beautiful celebrations while staying true to my creative vision and my love for the ever-evolving, travel-inspired nature of this industry.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Kristin Vittorini, and I’m the owner of Blushing Gypsy Events. I’ve always been someone who naturally gravitates toward creating experiences and bringing people together, which is what ultimately led me into the wedding and event industry. What started as a career quickly turned into something much more meaningful to me, because I realized how powerful it is to help people celebrate some of the most important moments of their lives.
Through Blushing Gypsy Events, I offer a range of services that help couples bring their wedding vision to life while also removing a lot of the stress that can come with planning. My services include wedding coordination, event design support, décor rentals, and helping couples pull all the moving pieces together so their day flows smoothly. Many couples start planning with lots of ideas but don’t always know how to organize them, budget them, or execute them on the actual wedding day. That’s where I step in — helping them refine their vision, manage logistics, and create a celebration that feels intentional and personal.
One of the biggest problems I help solve for my clients is overwhelm. Planning a wedding involves countless decisions, timelines, vendors, and details, and it can quickly become stressful for couples who are already balancing busy lives. My role is to simplify that process. I help them prioritize what matters most, keep things organized, and make sure everything runs smoothly so they can actually enjoy their wedding day instead of worrying about the details.
What sets Blushing Gypsy Events apart is the level of personalization and care that goes into each event. I don’t believe weddings should feel like a cookie-cutter template. Every couple has their own story, style, and vision, and I enjoy helping them translate that into a beautiful experience for their guests. Whether it’s creating an intimate ceremony setup, designing unique décor elements, or coordinating all the moving pieces behind the scenes, my focus is always on making the day feel authentic to the couple.
Another thing that’s important to me is creating an experience that feels calm and enjoyable throughout the planning process. Weddings should be exciting, not overwhelming, and I work hard to make sure my clients feel supported and confident every step of the way.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the reputation Blushing Gypsy Events has built over the years. Many of my clients come through referrals, and that means a lot to me because it shows that people trust the experience and care that goes into each event.
At the end of the day, what I want potential clients to know is that I truly care about the events I’m involved in. This isn’t just a business to me — it’s something I’m passionate about. My goal is always to create a wedding day that feels seamless, beautiful, and memorable so couples can focus on what really matters: celebrating with the people they love.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my career happened when I made the decision to step away from working within an established all-inclusive wedding company and start building something of my own.
For years I had learned every side of the industry while working there. It was an incredible experience and gave me a strong foundation in planning, logistics, coordination, and understanding what it really takes to execute a successful wedding day. But over time, I began to realize that while I loved the industry, I had a different vision for how I wanted to work within it.
I found myself drawn more and more to the creative and personal aspects of weddings — designing unique setups, helping couples bring their vision to life, and creating experiences that felt more customized rather than following a standard template. I also realized that I wanted the flexibility to build a brand that reflected my own personality, creativity, and approach to working with clients.
Making the decision to pivot and start my own company was both exciting and a little intimidating. Leaving the stability of an established business meant stepping into the unknown and trusting that I could build something from the ground up. There were definitely moments of uncertainty in the beginning, but I knew that if I focused on the parts of the industry I was truly passionate about, it would be worth it.
That pivot ultimately led to the creation of Blushing Gypsy Events. Starting my own business allowed me to shape the experience I wanted to offer couples — one that focused on creativity, flexibility, and personalized service. It also gave me the freedom to choose the types of events and collaborations that truly inspire me.
Looking back, that decision was one of the most important turning points in my career. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone and challenged me to trust my instincts as both a creative and an entrepreneur. It also showed me that sometimes the best growth happens when you’re willing to take a leap and build something that aligns with who you are!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the moments in my life that truly tested my resilience happened when I suddenly found myself a single mom. Overnight my world shifted, and I had to figure out how to provide for my daughters while also rebuilding a life that felt stable and hopeful for all of us.
At the time, I didn’t have a clear roadmap for what the next chapter would look like. What I did have was determination and a strong belief that I could create something better for my girls. For about a year, I did whatever I could to make ends meet. One of the ways I supported us was by dumpster diving and finding discarded furniture that I could repurpose, refinish, and resell. What many people would see as trash, I saw as opportunity. It was hard work, but it allowed me to provide while also discovering a creative side of myself that I hadn’t fully explored before.
Eventually, I made a decision that some people thought was a little unconventional. I bought an RV, and my girls and I began traveling full time. During that season of life, I homeschooled them while we explored new places together. It wasn’t always easy, but it was one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. I wanted my daughters to understand that the world is bigger than one place and that life can take many different paths if you’re willing to be brave and curious.
Our travels eventually led us to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Something about that area felt like the right place for us to slow down and put down roots again. That’s where I began building a career and leaning into the creativity and experiences that had been shaping me along the way.
Over time, those experiences — creativity, resilience, adaptability, and a love for meaningful moments — naturally evolved into what is now Blushing Gypsy Events. The name itself reflects that chapter of my life: the romance and celebration of weddings combined with a spirit of adventure and movement.
Looking back, that season taught me that resilience often comes from simply refusing to give up, even when the path forward isn’t clear. It also showed my daughters that life doesn’t have to follow a traditional script to be beautiful and meaningful.
Today, everything I build through my business is rooted in those experiences — creating moments that matter, embracing creativity, and remembering that sometimes the most unexpected journeys lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.
