We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kristin Silvestri a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kristin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

The idea for Angel Numbers Merch came to me during a challenging time—the start of the pandemic. I was working as a bartender in NYC, and when the bar I worked at shut down, I found myself unemployed for a year and a half. It was a period of uncertainty, and I knew I needed to find my purpose.

During that time, I kept seeing Angel Numbers, and I knew it was a sign from my angels nudging me toward something new. I’d always felt a deep connection to spirituality, but these numbers started appearing more frequently, guiding me in a new direction. That’s when I had the idea to combine my spiritual journey with something tangible, something that could inspire others. That’s when the idea for Angel Numbers Merch was born.

I spent a lot of time researching, watching YouTube videos, and learning all I could to get the store up and running. I dedicated myself to understanding Shopify’s platform, which helped me build the online store you see today. I learned about dropshipping, which allowed me to create custom products like hoodies and hats without needing a large upfront investment. Navigating the logistics of running an online store wasn’t easy, but I knew this idea was worth pursuing.

What excites me most is how personal this project is. It’s not just about creating products; it’s about giving people a way to feel connected to their angels and their spiritual journey. I launched Angel Numbers Merch on June 11, 2021, at 11:11 am—a number symbolizing co-creation with the universe and alignment. I know this is the path I’m meant to take. For readers who may not have come across Angel Numbers Merch before, could you tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in this business?

I’m Kristin, a certified spiritual life coach and the creator of Angel Numbers Merch, a brand that merges spirituality with creative streetwear and accessories with Angel Numbers.

Growing up in Long Island, New York, my angels have always been a significant part of my life, especially my father and both sets of grandparents who passed away many years ago. They’ve been guiding me spiritually since I was a teenager, and along with them, I’ve also been communicating with my guardian angels through Angel Numbers for several years now. This connection sparked my curiosity to dive deeper into the meanings and significance of these numbers.

My journey with Angel Numbers started with a remarkable moment. One day in 2017, when I lived in NYC, my mailman gave me a lottery ticket with the number 444 for the Pick 3 New York Lotto. He promised that if he won, he’d give me $500 because he said I was his lucky charm. Sure enough, the number hit, and he won $5,000! True to his word, he gave me $500, and I told him we manifested it. That was the moment I knew there was something special about 444—it marked the beginning of my journey with Angel Numbers, and it hasn’t stopped since. Angel Number 444 represents that you are supported, protected, and guided by your angels.

During the pandemic, I felt a deep calling to blend my passions—fashion and spirituality—and that’s when Angel Numbers Merch was born. I launched the brand on June 11, 2021, at 11:11 am, a spiritually significant time that aligned with everything I had been manifesting.

What types of products and services do you offer, and how do you set yourself apart from others in your industry?

Angel Numbers Merch offers a range of spiritually inspired items, including Angel Number skatedecks, hoodies, hats, anklets, and necklaces. Each product is designed to reflect the power and meaning behind specific Angel Numbers. Whether it’s 111 for new beginnings or 444 for protection and guidance, these numbers serve as wearable reminders of the divine messages we’re constantly receiving.

What sets Angel Numbers Merch apart is the personal connection and intention I bring to every piece. I don’t just sell clothing or accessories—I create merch infused with meaning and purpose. What problems do you solve for your customers, and what are you most proud of in your work?

I help people stay spiritually connected in their everyday lives. Through Angel Numbers Merch, I offer a way for individuals to carry divine guidance with them wherever they go. Whether someone needs a reminder of strength, protection, or abundance, my merch serves as daily affirmation that they are supported and guided by their angels.

What I’m most proud of is the community I have built around Angel Numbers Merch. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

During the pandemic, I was unemployed for a year and a half, like many others who suddenly found themselves in an uncertain world. The world was shifting in ways none of us could predict, and instead of feeling stuck, I used that time to reconnect with myself.

That’s when the idea for Angel Numbers Merch came to life. I realized I could combine my love for fashion with my spiritual journey, and from there, I began building my brand.

Resilience became the foundation of my journey as I taught myself everything—from building a website to creating an online store, all while navigating the challenges of a pandemic. But beyond resilience, I learned that having faith in yourself and taking chances, even in difficult situations, is just as important. You have to be willing to take risks and go after your dreams and passions, no matter how hard it seems. Persistence and belief in yourself are key.

Many people might not understand or support your dreams and goals. They may look down upon your ideas, and that can feel discouraging. But remember: they aren’t supposed to like it. This is your journey, not theirs. And if you ever feel like you don’t have the support of others, know that your angels are always supporting and guiding you. You are never alone. Your angels are here to uplift and help you along the way.

This time of uncertainty turned into a moment of clarity and growth for me, as I transformed a difficult situation into an opportunity to create something meaningful. To me, resilience is about adapting, staying open to new possibilities, and using every experience—no matter how unexpected—to build something stronger. So, trust in yourself, take that risk, and stay persistent. Your dreams are worth it, and with your angels by your side, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

Starting a business doesn’t have to cost thousands of dollars—sometimes, all it takes is strategy and resourcefulness. Looking back, it took me about $2,000 to get Angel Numbers Merch up and running. During the pandemic, I was fortunate to receive unemployment benefits, along with an extra supplement from the government, which was a true blessing in such uncertain times. I chose to be smart with my finances, putting my debts on hold and focusing only on essential expenses like rent, food, and phone bills. This gave me the financial breathing room to think about my future and what I wanted to create.

When I came up with the idea for Angel Numbers Merch, I knew I needed to be strategic with funding. That’s when I decided to open a Shopify store. Shopify offered a free trial, giving me the time I needed to learn the platform and build my website before the monthly subscription kicked in. Even then, the cost was affordable—just $30 a month to maintain the site. It was a blessing to realize that starting a business didn’t require a massive financial investment upfront.

I also chose to begin with a dropshipping model, which allowed me to launch without buying large amounts of inventory. It minimized the risk and gave me the freedom to create custom-made products like my hats and hoodies. As things started to return to normal and I was back to work, I reinvested in the business, expanded my product range, and continued to leverage dropshipping as a key strategy—especially for my custom designs.

If you feel that nudge or gut feeling telling you to start your own business, trust it. I can’t stress this enough: follow your intuition. There are so many platforms and free resources available to help you get started, and you don’t need a fortune to pursue your dreams. For me, creating Angel Numbers Merch has been an incredibly rewarding journey. It makes me feel accomplished, and I truly believe my angels have guided me every step of the way. I feel blessed to be able to share my knowledge of Angel Numbers with the world, and if it can help change someone’s life for the better, then I’ve fulfilled my purpose. Being able to teach someone about the spiritual world, bring them comfort, and help them shift their mindset to a positive one is what drives me.
