Kristin Meshay, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I’ve always wanted to dab into the arts since I was a child but there appeared to be a blockage that was in the way. As an introvert sometimes I am misunderstood and therefore, that can come with a cloud of judgement. In 2012, I had decided to search for suppliers in my local area and created items such as soaps, body butters, and bracelets. I would of course make some for myself and as gifts to some of my friends and family. My mom was my biggest supporter and cheer leader. She inspired and encouraged me that my products were good and that I should start profiting from them. My mom words stuck with me and in 2019 Love Blvd was created.

Kristin Meshay, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I realized that the products that I was producing were making people feel good. I loved seeing their smiles once they’ve received their gifts and also the compliments were satisfying. Not only was my mom an inspiration but others were as well such as my strong and determined son, my loving grandmother, my caring aunt and uncle, my supportive sister, and some kind friends helped motivate me to keep going. Most importantly, this business was inspired with our Creator in mind, “But if I don’t have love, I am nothing….”
1 Corinthians 13:2. My love for creating handmade products as a hobby transformed into a small profitable business. In addition to making soaps, body butters, and bracelets, I began to also make inspiring t-shirts, aromatherapy candles, body massage oils, car diffusers, and soon to launch my own vessels and decor trays. Love Blvd is business that is focused on self love, self care, self awareness, etc. Loving yourself so that love can be poured into others and reciprocated is a strong belief and virtue that the business is built upon. It is my pleasure to create well-being items that are handmade with love.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Our mission is to encompass energy that promotes empowerment, strength and positivity. Our goal is to reach out to others so that they can know their worth, recognize that beauty begins with self, and be the best version of themselves.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Being an artist and creative gives me the freedom to not only be unique, expressive, and true to myself but it also allows me to help boost confidence. I have the opportunity to share my passion which is truly rewarding.
